Popular Post Nightcrawler
I was invited to a NY party, but its about an hour's drive away and so I would have to limit alcohol intake. I think I will give it a miss and just have a wank at home to see in the New Year instead.😁 I don't really celebrate myself, as its a reminder of being a year older That said, I wish all Forum members a happy and prosperous 2024. A great bunch of guys you are and make this Forum a pleasure to be part of. 3
Popular Post galenkia
Happy New Year to all of you. Shame my year ended on a depressing note, but a new year and new start. Jan’s funeral is Monday next week, so will give me the opportunity to move on in my life, as it has basically been on hold during Jan’s illness. Will buy another bike around march and get back riding again, as this year has really made me revalute my life, and how you need to do things while you still can. Anyway, best wishes to all of you for the next year. 3

Wife has a few mates around, I've done the cooking (Larb Salmon, crispy Pork Hock, Chicken korat) but all adjusted to the filipino palate (less spice ). To be honest this whole period of "festivities" has meant nothing but hard bloody work. Buying presents, cooking, cleaning up, rinse and repeat. I'll be happy tomorrow when we see a semblance of normality coming back. Looking back at the commercialisation of the whole thing, it does leave a bitter taste when we've got people struggling on the breadline, but all we get from social media and peer pressure is to spend more money. It makes me sick to think that Rishi Sunak and his billionaire wife can stuff their pieholes with foie gras, champagne and caviar while we've got families buying second hand stuff from Charity shops for their kids at Christmas.

Absolutely Gal, has been my mindset for a couple of years now, and i'm loving life, doing things i always wanted to, dreamt about, but never got around to doing. Tomorrow is promised to no one, enjoy life while you can!
Butch
Less than 15 min until 2024. I've got to go downstairs and join the "party". I don't mind, but I'd rather be alone and able to reflect upon my thoughts. For me, 24 is going to be a bit of a rough ride. I know I'll be losing my Dad, and also possibly the person whom I consider to me my second Dad and a very dear friend. The way my Cat is behaving, he's on fucking borrowed time as well. Guys, let us hope to make a meet up in London for 2024. I feel there are some guys whom I need to put faces to on this forum, people I now consider friends. I've had a couple of absences from the forum and been bang out of order on occasion. @tommy dee @john luke @Nightcrawler and @Nickrock have always been gracious and kind and understanding enough to cut me slack and allow me to return. Thanks also to @Bryan for keeping the forum running and offering support in the areas where it is needed. FWIW @Bryan you have a new customer who is happy to put baht across the counter of your bars. I also publicly apologise for anything that I said previously which might have defamed or upset you or was out of order. We've 5 mins left at my time of writing. God Bless you all. I give all you guys best wishes for 2024, and hope it turns out that your health, wealth and happiness is fulfilled. Best Regards and wishes to you all. Nightcrawler
Well NYE is over, thank God and I have woken on New Years Day with every intent to resume being the absolute c*nt I have enjoyed being in 2023. 🙂 with the one exception that I intend to be just a little less sedentary in my daily routines, but there is fat chance of that happening anyway I don't see the point of making any resolutions just because of a numerical calender date. Why start doing what you could have done last year and the year before, if you really wanted to, apart from fork out a few quid to buy a new diary.? 1

NY Resolutions are pretty pointless, especially where stuff like exercise is concerned. Either do it or don't do it, simple. That's why I started back at the gym, I made an adjustment to my lifestyle which needed to be done at the time, the date is immaterial. Mate, I know you walk a bit, but maybe aiming to hit a step count like @Golfingboy did and still does. Maybe spend 5 min a day on the rowing machine, make it part of a routine and it'll soon become habit, so you eventually feel obliged to do it which is not a bad thing. I think positive changes are a good thing, regardless of when they are made. I've totally stopped mid week drinking, now I'm aiming to decrease my consumption when I do have a beer. I have made one decision for this year though, I intend to spend a bit of money on myself and buy a dogs bollocks expresso / coffee machine so I'll be asking BM's their recommendations. I need a new car as well, but I might have to run that one past the Mrs.

I have have been there as a drinker of freshly brewed coffee and now gone back to my old faithful cafetiere and a coffee bean grinder which work every time I remember last time I saw you, that you were considering buying a new, state of the art Gimp mask. You might be able to get one in the January Sales if you hurry

maipenrai
Happy New Year, everyone. The only resolution I have right now is to get on that damned plane in eleven days and leave deep winter's gloom and cold behind; physically I am not off to a good start as my arthritic left knee has flared up but hopefully I'll be able to deal with this as I have much to do before I leave.

Derek Dangleberries
Happy New Year everybody! I have had a fantastic time, mainly because of a free upgrade to a Deluxe Suite at the Bayview! 92sqm room with floor to ceiling glass with a panoramic view over the whole bay! Earlier in the day I met up with my daughter in Gullivers for food and drink. It is a place that my Mum and both my sons enjoyed on their visits here. Good food and not too expensive. It was dark when we left, Beach road was closed off and it was a long walk back to The Bayview via all of the stalls buying snacks for later.. The rest of the evening was spent in the room watching the fireworks display and later the Lanterns falling from the sky in small fiery infernos!! I know nearly everybody likes to slag off City Hall but for me I think they have done an excellent job!! Whilst walking back through the stalls I thought back to the days when very very few people went on the beach for NYE due to safety reasons. It really has improved a lot since the days when I lived in the village and brought the family down to celebrate NYE...With probably 30 to 50m gaps between families having fun with the kids !!!!!! Yep it was a bit stinky in some places this time around but I had no problem buying things from the local trader stalls .. The choice really was diverse !! Well Done to all concerned !!

It was definitely safe, with people of all ages, some with mobility problems, and families with children all with smiles on their faces.. Back at the hotel it seemed to be mainly families too.. It is sad that so many people knock Pattaya as a family resort but all I saw was kids having fun..!! Another good thing I noticed was all the different nationalities really taking an interest in the food stalls. I thought it was a great experience .. and I'm a miserable fucker at best of times ! 1
Zambo
During 2024 i expect the board will get new members from at least 2 of the categories from the LBGTIQA+ community and then we will have to worry about pronouns (especially the more complicated nonbinary ones). Hopefully the mods will not be too harsh on this subject.
