  1. Past hour
  2. After the clusterf*ck experience trying to use their website when it would only let me transfer money to my own Wise account, and not to my account in Thailand, they had the cheek to send me an e-mail immediately afterwards asking me to rate my experience and send them any additional comments I might have. I'd have rated them at zero, but one was the lowest score you could give, so I made up for it in the comments. I don't suppose that anyone actually reads this stuff, though, at best they'll have some sort of an AI parsing the results, and my insults probably went well over the top of its training. My impression this last year is that Wise is growing far too fast for its own good, I for one would never hand them thousands of pounds as, by the time you actually want it, they'll have changed the website or app so that you can't do it the way you did the last time, or you have to jump through 5 additional hoops. They're OK for sending a grand here and a grand there, but if I need to bring in a lot more I'll use my Barclays UK account as international transfers are free. I might not get as good a rate as with Wise or XE, but with no fee to pay on, say £10K or £20K, it'll probably all work out roughly the same.
  3. Wow that peak looks like you saw a ghost...
  4. Today
  5. I had a similar experience at Doha airport. Both flights into and out of the airport were at remote gates. For such a modern airport, I was shocked to this. Am now very hesitant to fly Qatar because of this.
  6. Strangely enough most paranormal activity has similar signs to ventilation and electrical functions - how can we be sure which it is? Added to that the shock of a supermarket bill and i expect you did feel the blood drain from your very heart. I for one would stick to BigC with a ground floor carpark - better to be safe than sorry.
  7. Just had a look at user reviews on IMDb and with only 14, the first being on the May 2nd, I don't think there's enough yet to draw a conclusion based on the reviews. My practice is to filter out the early reviews, that most often are probably shills for the movie, by sorting reviews by descending date order.
  8. I was just down at the supermarket and I parked in the warm basement carpark then took the lift (elevator) up to the shopping floor... The doors of the lift opened on their own A wave of cold air passed over me when the doors opened. I had an immense feeling of dread when I looked at the total bill. Would that be classed as a ghostly experience?
  9. I nearly had a ghost experience a few years ago. I was staying longterm in a hotel down Pradiphat Rd and went over to the Elizabeth hotel compound for a haircut. The girl asked where i lived and when i told her she said a guy had been murdered there by a bargirl a few days ago, his gold stolen and the girl had escaped. When i got back to my hotel i asked at reception and they confirmed that there had been a murder and it was on my floor a couple of doors down the corridor. In fact she said "the whole floor has been closed down except your room because everyone's scared of the ghost" I explained that although i had no fear of the poor c**t stalking the floor looking for his gold and revenge i would be pleased to move for their convenience. Huge sigh of relief from all and i was shifted within an hour to safer territory one floor down. On drunken nights i did on occasion return to my old floor by mistake, the lights were out and the doors creaked through unuse. I was left unharmed, a fellow creature of the night.
  10. Yesterdays trip to The Mall Bangkapi, picking up my weekly allotment of " Salmon" from Thammachart seafood.
  11. It was in my youth..cycle through Poole Park, under a small bridge, through Baiter then a short ride to Sandbanks .. Happy Days !!
  12. Made it through top gun2 , Really enjoyed it. Now who knows, on the G and T
  13. No, but I cycled through 'Baiter Park ..... (check on a map if you disbelieve me)
  14. There is a downhill stretch as you approach Sandbanks followed by a sharp turn left.... Same same Pattaya !!!
  15. Stress and anxiety related conditions are IMO the most challenging threats to our overall health. Period. I recognized the necessity to make adjustments regarding stress management decades ago. Making the changes required major sacrifices, but I believe when looking at the big picture well worth it. There will always be some degree of stress in our lives, it is natural and at reasonable levels even good for us. But, if not responsibly managed it will almost certainly lead to a number of painful health issues and a high probability of early death.
  16. I have seen ghosts before mate. The most memorable being in The Mai Ping Hotel in CM !!
  17. This is the Hottest hot season I ever remember in Pattaya...Ever...
  18. Is this solved? Common signs of ghosts: 1. Feeling a wave of cold air come over you 2. Seeing unexplained movement out of the corner of your eye Strange sounds 3. Lights flickering and electronics turning on and off on their own 4. Difficulty sleeping and strange dreams 5. Doors opening on their own 6. Waves of dread
  19. Yeh , that sort of cold! Totally unexpected after months of extreme heat! I've just been watering the shrubs and started thinking that if I was 12 years old again back home living Dorset I'd do a packed lunch and set off to Sandbanks on my bike to watch the foreign girls going topless .....
  20. Aircon on full blast inside and someone opened the door? (Walking past a shopping mall scenario)
