There's a great Isaan Gai Yang lunch spot a short walk from the Chong Nonsi BTS station. I ate there a lot when I lived in the neighborhood. Excellent chicken, nam tok moo, som tum, etc... The owner, Khun So...holds court right out front making som tum. Go early...11am'ish...it gets busy with the business lunch crowd. . . . . I ate there so much they used to make me cook my own chicken... 🙂 My Baby Mama aka Isaan Princess -- liked it a lot... Great Food...

It's a normal maneuver called 'crabbing' to keep the nose aligned with the centerline of the runway, then using rudder when flaring to put the plane on the ground in the proper landing position to continue straight down the runway. Used to do it myself, a hell of a lot, when flying smaller aircraft such as Cessna 172's and Piper Warriors in Fort Worth Texas. It's just the same principle in bigger planes. Slipping a small plane to the runway was far more interesting, although maybe quite scary to the passenger.

Wifey and I and 2 friends from USA hit Asiatique, July 2016 was nice, fairly new place if I remember correctly. Tons of restaurants, nice walk around by the water and such. Then took them over to the rooftop bar at Lebua Hotel over on Silom...quite nice.

We went to Asiatique a few years ago,don't remember any food stalls,just restaurants alongside the river which were not cheap.There was a big Irish pub somewhere in the centre.Not a place I was in a hurry to get back to. Probably changed since we were there. The Tawandang German Brewery on Rama 3 is a good evenings entertainment,food & beer are excellent with a non stop cabaret.

Surprising. My passport was sent to my Singapore address without having any in person contact. I did the same with one of my kids. i'm definitely not resident in the UK, i haven't been there for 4 years and haven't had a UK home address since my father died. Maybe the Singapore delivery services are more trusted. The pricing your finding for the service seems not bad.

Where I lived in the States, you would be facing a hefty fine if caught with an untagged deer in your vehicle. To avoid the fine you would have to jump through a few bureaucratic hoops to salvage a road kill.

I expect you're familiar with the Soi Bukhao area?. Although 10 years ago LK Metro and that area looked slightly different, there were GGB's etc you could visit, today it's much busier and much better. It's a good street to go to in the evening. For afternoon fun, Gentlemens Clubs are no longer a place you need to travel to, like M club or Jade House, Soi Chaiyapoon has one or two GC's, but the best area is Soi Boomerang, which is just up the road on Soi Bukhao . There's plenty of GC's for you to choose from in that small Soi. BM @forcebwithu has a brilliant interactive map on here which gives accurate locations for pretty much every GC in town. Chaiyapoon has changed a great deal in the last 10 years, Dive Bar and Maggie Mays are worth a look for A/C comfort and good prices. Jibbys on Soi LK Metro for good Air con, Time bar for cheap beer and people watching, billabong for 2 for 1 beers and live music. GGB's are all going to be more expensive as you know, Sugar Sugar is a decent GGB but the quality of the girls is hit and miss, mostly miss.
