These are cracking little bikes. I even considered the naked version myself before buying my Z800. Fancied a bigger engine in the end as I was hoping to do a bit of touring in the UK last summer but constant restrictions made it harder to plan anything.

Make a great cheap to run commuter/city bike.

I can recall years ago seeing a tiny Thai girl regularly riding in and out of Walking St. on a full-sized Fireblade...

Back in my early 20's in late 80's /early 90's, an old girlfriend of mine had a Suzuki GSX1100R, the old early slab side model, and she was only about 5 foot 2 and about 8 stone. And they were quite heavy old things as well.

I also recall seeing her, in a distinct lack of 'protective clothing' too.

Hopefully she is still about and not bearing the scars of her prior antics...

The 'twisties' is where it reigned supreme in it's day...

Yeah, those were the days, the little 400cc imports like the CBR, GSXR, VFR, FZR, ZXR, etc.

And the 250cc stinkwheels alongside like the RG, NSR, KR1, RS, TZR etc.

Some of the best times ever for me regarding bikes.

"Stinkwheels" i love your terminology, and so very true, but who did not love the smell of Castrol R  !!
