barsie
Still a little weird but lots of good looking components. I'm trying to think of a dressing for that- maybe honey and walnut would work.
MrDK
A lot of apple dips are based on ranch and goes well with the other fruits. I used my own sodium free creamy ranch. Only 25mg sodium on that plate (1% DV). Edited February 12, 2019 by MrDK
barsie
A very simple but tasty brunch. Creamy garlic pepper mushrooms on toast. Fairly heavily seasoned because I only had the crappy thai bread which tends to be a little sweet.
barsie
Retox Game On do a very good Sunday lunch. I went for the beef which was a good medium cooked. The stars for me though are the yorkshire pudding, mashed potato and cauliflower cheese- combined with gravy to die for. Fish and chips spot on and very big portion. It's a lot of food and that's standard size, they do a larger size for another 100 baht.
barsie
Back to some home cooking. Freshly made from the market - crab, sweetcorn and ginger soup. 3
barsie
I wouldn't call this bad, but i'd not rush back to it unless in area wanting some chinese quick and easy. Crab and sweetcorn soup (normal crab sticks) was pretty tasty. Fried rice not a lot of love or flavour gone into it. Beef was ok but a bit tough. Chicken szechaun bizarrely battered, that's a first for me anywhere in the world- now I know that's no issue for a lot of people but a bit of a pet hate for me. If stated on menu i'd never order. Not a negative review I would eat there again, maybe bit more careful with what I ordered.
barsie
Well no food thread is right without a post showing Beefeater. I still think it's best in town as always spot on and no variance in quality ( a rare thing in Pattaya ). Everything cooked to perfection and how we ordered. I will let pictures do the talking. 2

Yesitisdakid
Here in Bangkok in the Nana Hotel parking lot there's a small vendor selling tacos the taco in the photo cost 100 baht it's a beef taco with a little lettuce a little salsa a little cheddar cheese and very little beef. Definitely not good value for money I would not return. The other food in the photo is street food I'm lazy to go anywhere tonight.

For my wife I put them in the Air fryer for 20 minutes, and she loves them. Sorry no photo's. I will do next time Edited February 12, 2019 by frankholland

Also cream chipped beef on toast would love to have. So many different things I've had in LOS and discover there is too much sugar in it. And things that are processed already so you can't ask for less sugar. I like savory flavors. If I want sweet I'll get some candy or a cookie or something, but don't put it in everything for gods sake.

I happen to be on a very restricted sodium diet for medical reasons, so I am in and it itself a good gauge, but I have learned to read up on the matter and for everybody it should be beneficial to be aware. Sodium may cause high blood pressure, heart decease, obesity, excel fluid retention, metabolic disorders, and albuminuria (associated with kidney decease). For starters the standard for daily value (DV) of sodium is 2,400mg (~1mg/Kcal) max and American Heart Association (AHA) is 1,500mg as an ideal limit. CDC estimate that the average sodium intake in the US is 3,400mg/day, UK hovers around 3Kmg and WHO list Thailand as average 4Kmg/day Examples of ingredients sodium per tbsp. Fish sauce: 1,400mg. Red curry paste: 350mg. Green curry paste: 500mg. Shrimp paste: 1,500mg, Soy sauce: 900mg. Thai meals 1 plate or 2 cup-bowl: Dish/ Bowl mg Na Drink mg Na Tom Yom Goong: 3,000 Thai Beer: 14 Pad Thai: 1,300 Guinness: 0 Mama noodle soup: 2,000 Vodka soda: 3 Red curry: 1,000 Coffee 5 Green curry: 1,700 Orange Juice 1 Thai fried rice: 1,

My mum would also add a touch of sherry or brandy.
