There a couple more close to Pak Bara in the deep south of Thailand where we live ... I always search out ... Beach gal is an easy gal ... I say to her we do ... she "cowboys up" and does ... never any complaints .. I wish Belfast .... for sure ! You know some of us Irish guys fight the religious thing - but, it seems to me we always come back to it ..... But, I am not religious -- I believe in a higher power ... I just like the calmness of a church sometimes ... I play basketball with the monks at a Buddhist temple all the time ... they make me f**king laugh my balls off ... and I also like the calmness at the temples ... just to sit and think a little .. BTW Bro .. with the first 2 pictures I was in BKK at my flat ... Also one down on the river, I think.Soi Convent has a big Catholic girls school, a Carmelite Convent & BNH Hospital (my kid was born there)... I believe there was an early French settlement here -- still a few FR restaurants (Indigo). Has become 'spendy trendy' in the last decade. Most likely all re-opening right about now. Surely that is why we are all here on Thailand 247 Whether we are expats, regular visitors and or have a Thai wife and children. We all have a love and an interest in Thailand. That is what brings us together on this Forum as people. Our lives, jobs and circumstances maybe different but we all share a common interest There are aspects that some of us would like to change although realistically none of us are Thai Nationals and have no say in what will and will not happen in the future during these troubled times But I am sure that for both those of us who love visiting and those who live in Thailand, have a vested interest in what happens next and a hope that we are going to continue our enjoyment of the Kingdom, and no matter what it holds for us personally I would imaging that it is true to say that we want to continue to enjoy the Country for what it is in the future even though it may change. Our own countries are also changing along with the rest of the world. It makes no sense to argue, or disrespect a country that has given us both pleasure and in some cases a real connection If we are honest, we know that the tourist areas are a sweetshop and often nothing seems real but isn't that the fun of the place? But within that we should have a certain amount of respect for the Thais and their culture even though at times we may not like or agree with their Government polices. It is their country and we are guests. Whether we are bonded by blood, or have chosen Thailand as a home or we are simply visitors, we should want what is best for the Thais and not just what is best for us Hopefully we can all look back on this one day and hopefully soon, when we can start conversations about the positives and ride the negatives of which we have no control over We are all pissed over what has happened both in our own countries and what's happening in Thailand but in reality they are both the same thing. All 3 always planned to move out of Thailand. 1 already did, and the 2 other have it still on their plans. But not necessarily to France. They have the travel virus, same as me. My best friend is married with a Korean since 35 y. Retired, sharing their time between France and Korea. They have 2 kids (late 20's), none ever wanted to settle down or work in Korea. When I lived in HKG (2009 till 2017) I visited every month for a 72h WE. In the last years there, it was often the kids that came see me in HK as I was bored with BKK. Because this is a forum whereby the members and their views have a saying on whether I enjoy it or not. I left Pattaya Live for all the negativity and when this forum started it was a breath of fresh air to join and feel that there was a positivity about it's mission and style. Unfortunately that positive start has moved over and a lot of negative posters are posting on a regular basis now such that I am just not enjoying it anymore. Many others seem to have gone by the wayside and I might be next. This is not the Thailand 247 that I joined. Why some posters who have nothing but bad things to say about Thailand and it's people want to be here, I don't know.
