drop me a line if you fancy a quick pint prior to the game

I've just done a check of the fixtures .... 8th May is the last game of the Championship season ...2 weeks before I get there ....and it is away to some team called "QPR" ..Whatever that means ....Never heard of such a stupid name for a football club...

Just had a lady behind me on the train back to Reading ask me to turn my headphones down.
knew I’m half deaf but fucks sake,😂

Once caught the minibus from Pattaya to Bangkok. Some Thai chick had her earbuds in, they were wired in those days, at full volume.

Annoying as all fuk!

Just got up after the worse 24 hours I have had for a long while!

Diarrhea, stomach cramps, fever and nausea.

Have only drunk boiled water flavoured with herbal tea.

Woke up in a pool of sweat after a 5 hour solid sleep period feeling a bit more normal. ( not shivering )

Whilst I have had a couple of mild cramps this morning and a rush to the toilet once, (it's only water) I hope to be over the worse of it.

Time will tell.

Been to the gym and for a swim and steam room , first time for 10 days , feeling good 💪

Once the weather warms up I’ll be out walking. Got so fat and lazy since my last job. Only activity I get is a 10 minute walk to work and back and a 30 minute round trip walk into town and back once or twice a week.My job is sitting down all day where before I was working my arse off.So easy to get complacent.

Funny this is mentioned now.
I recently did my 3 yearly work medical and my hearing has deteriorated a fair bit in my left ear since the last medical. I have an appointment with a hearing specialist today.

Fifteen years working in the motor trade, plus decade's of riding motorcycles without earplugs, and over 40 year's of gig's has f***d my hearing.

Pretty much accept what's done is done, so just carry on.

Quite fancy a KTM 390 Duke, about £5350 new but CSS in Bracknell have a 2022 new model for £4699.

Great bike for around town.

That’s nice.

Big fan of those naked bikes just a shame I lack the confidence to ride one.

Our 32nd wedding anniversary today so started with a visit to the local Bhuddist temple to give them a load of nosh the missus had cooked.

Then a visit to the gym & now she's preparing our evening meal, which will be spectacularly good & I'll put a pic in the appropriate thread.

Got a couple of bottles of bubbly in the fridge so later I should be pleasantly stuffed & pissed.

Amazing when I think that 32 years ago we'd just had the 3rd & final day of our registry office wedding, the first Gulf war was hotting up(which was brill 'cos I couldn't go back to work😁) & I was about to get pissed for the third night on the trot in Bangkok.Spent most of the night in Jools on Soi Nana drinking champagne so not a lot has changed really😂.

Been researching diarrhoea and remedies, seems the best foods are Toast, bananas, rice and apple sauce.

So a quick trip in the car to Tescos, I dare not risk the time it takes to walk.

Also I have some Imodium plus in my cupboard, never taken it before, but have a cross section of meds just in case.

It's been 48 hours since I last eat, so it's toast with apple sauce instead of butter with sliced bananas on top.

I have also taken 2 x Imodium in the hope that the cramps stop and my ass behaves itself.
