That’s nice.

Big fan of those naked bikes just a shame I lack the confidence to ride one.

Bike's are what I live for,those and gig's.

Only things I need in my life.

A lot of scare talk revolves around bike's, but for me it's been pretty safe. Had a few crashes in shit weather but you'll be fine in good weather.

Imodium is basically a butt plug, don't fix the problem, just bungs you up.

It is, that's why I let it run its course for a day or so, but you can then run into problems with dehydration. I am travelling again the end of the week so needed to slow things up.

The Imodium plus also has an ingredient to help with stomach cramps, which right now I am happy not to have!

Fabulous ! Sounds like the trip of the decade.

I've yet to be to Nam, but I found Siem Reap to be wonderful. Can't wait to get back.

Sure hope to see some pics.

If i like Vietnam I will go for a one month stay and travel the country on the train

Will do Steve.

Quite fancy a KTM 390 Duke, about £5350 new but CSS in Bracknell have a 2022 new model for £4699.

Great bike for around town.

I dunno, it probably performs great but I think it looks grotesque, like some kind of child's transformer toy - and look at that ridiculous license plate bracket, looks like a total afterthought to the rest of the design.

I think it looks good, a bit like a Praying Mantis.

The rear light / plate bracket is like that to comply with various rules and regulations found in many countries, but easy to remove and to relocate the said items if desired. The same as many people do with the section of rear mudguard one sees mounted on a bracket affixed to the swinging arm of many bikes, now they are an eyesore which serves very little purpose....

Whilst walking the dog today:

aBeaver.jpg

While inspecting some new beaver action, I noticed some odd Ducks!

aduck1.jpg

The Byrd Nutters have been flocking around our ponds because of some lost ducks not native to North America or the Pacific Northwest.

aduck2.jpg

Even odd Ducks are hen pecked. He must have been the navigator and refused to ask for directions!

aduck3.jpg

These are Mandarin Ducks. Native to the East Palearctic region (Not North America).

arock.jpg

My rock collection from today's dog walk. Kids/ladies like to paint rocks sometimes with nice sayings on the back and hide them around the paths. Kind of like an year-round Easter Rock hunt. Will give the rocks to the War Department's sister who is visiting.

Ginger (the Dog not the War Department's sister).

I agree, these things look awful; another look that really irks me is on the big "bobber" bikes with no rear fender to speak of -  and usually a ridiculously oversized rear wheel - where they hang the license plate off to the side of the bike because there is nowhere else to put it.

Just got up after the worse 24 hours I have had for a long while!

Diarrhea, stomach cramps, fever and nausea.

Have only drunk boiled water flavoured with herbal tea.

Woke up in a pool of sweat after a 5 hour solid sleep period feeling a bit more normal. ( not shivering )

Whilst I have had a couple of mild cramps this morning and a rush to the toilet once, (it's only water) I hope to be over the worse of it.

Time will tell.

Many years ago I had something similar. I went to the doctor (in the U.S.), he said it was just the shits and should let my body clear itself out. Five days of utter hell.

Ever since then.... if I get the cramps I get on the antibiotics. f**k waiting it out.

*** Also, whether you get on the antibiotics or not yogurt will help your guts get reestablished proper.

I've heard good things about those train routes. For sure is a long one. Probably are a few horror stories also. I  really haven't done much research on them, could be a hell of an adventure if your head is properly prepped for it.

Just back from the dentist for my first specialist procedure on my "tooth stones", which is where the plaque is so bad it grows under the gums so needs stronger pain killing injections as they have to dig or spray under the gums. I think it is specialist because I think they need to be qualified to apply that strength of pain killer.

The original plan was to do a quarter of the mouth in one sitting but being a stupid prick I asked if she could do half at a time (top and bottom - right side) to which she agreed. One hour of pain later, all done that side!!!! I have to admit that I didn't take it lying down...my legs and hips were bucking around like a fish out of water.....All of us couldn't stop laughing !!

2,000 baht for the morning's work...Damned fine if you ask me!

If anyone is interested it got that bad because I don't clean my teeth before I go to sleep at night...I'm too lazy and mostly too fucking drunk!!! Also my gums had become over sensitive due to decades of scrubbing them with a hard toothbrush....

Feel free to "som nam na" me !!!

When I am shooting the brown water I only take imodium if I am going to be shagging. Otherwise I let it clear itself out.

If I have cramps, it's game over straight to the antibiotics.

I brought something similar home from Siem Reap with me. It started Wednesday evening last week, and I flew back on Sunday. I think it is Gastroenteritis.

Very embarrassingly, puked in the taxi from Don Muang. Good job I took some sick bags from the aeroplane!

The diarrhoea was still there yesterday, so went to the pharmacy. Got a whole load of stuff dispensed, including antibiotics.

Still have the diarrhoea today, but not too bad as I've hardly eaten anything.

Hope you feel better soon.

Depending what you want the medicine to do, I always went for the stuff that has an astronaut on the pack. It got me out of many a sticky situation when I was working here up country and "just letting it all out" wasn't an option...

I think salmonalia (sp) is high percentage the usual culprit.

It's always difficult how to deal with these things, especially if there is limited time before travel again.

I went 48 hours only drinking boiled water with herbal tea and visited the toilet 14 times.

I decided the body had flushed all it was going to flush and took 2 immodium.

Yesterday I eat some toast with apple sauce and banana.

The stomach cramps have stopped,  I slept ok last night and this morning sat on the toilet and farted for around 10 seconds.  Can't tell you how good that felt.

Going to try some toast with butter on this morning and maybe some Bovril. Will continue to drink herbal tea and see what transpires.

Years ago a mate had bad diarrhea in Pattaya and they gave me charcoal tablets for him. No idea how that worked,  but it sorted him out.

Good to hear about the giant fart ! lol

When they aren't coming it's time to worry.

The only time I ever had to go to the E.R. was because of gas. I had no idea what it was until it subsided. Never experienced pain like that. I honestly thought I was having a heart attack.

Like this, looks crap IMO but agreed, in the UK it must project beyond the rear tyre.
