I'd love to know how that goes. I had one half (top and bottom - right side) done about 2 months ago and it took weeks for the pain to go away. This was at Dental Smile with the specialist from Bangkok Pattaya Hospital so she was no cowboy but by f**k did it hurt ..

When I went back last week for a chipped tooth I told my regular dentist that I want her to do a general clean on the remaining half when I get back from UK. f***d if I'm having that specialist again !!!

Aye, think there must be some new 'hardcore' ultrasonic scaler.

I've nearly always had my teeth cleaned in the UK or Thailand by a dentist using the ultrasonic cleaner. A bit raw for the first day, anything cold or hot it's sensitive, can feel with my tongue where the plaque has been removed, but then okay after a day or so.

But about 18months ago i went to a hygienist near where i live, he did it by hand for 3 times 4 months apart, plaque was quite bad due to couldn't get an appointment because of Covid. Then he said they were fine, or as good as he could get them, and he'd do a final clean with the ultrasonic. He said to me before it i'd be cursing him for a few days, and to do myself a favour and go buy some kinda sensitive toothpaste after the clean. I thought no more about it, knowing i had it done with the ultrasonic tool many times before, no bother after a day or so.

Anyway, the next day, and for the next 2 to 3 weeks, my teeth, or more appropriately, my gums, were sore as f**k. I couldn't eat anything that wasn't soft. It was a nightmare, i went on a 3 week holiday in Turkey a week after i got it done, near spoiled the holiday, but thankfully i could find stuff to eat via the big buffet.

I'm kinda hoping the deep clean on Monday will be like previous ones, sore for a day, not the fucking 'hardcore' number that has me in pain eating for weeks.

This one seemed to be using a high power concentrated water jet.

Aye, i had originally planned to get it done in Thailand in July.

But then when my old Dentist close by took me back on the books, so to speak, i thought i'd just get it done there incase it did hurt like f**k again and ruin my trip.

£80 Private, the NHS clean isn't worth a f**k, you need to get the private deep clean, well i do.

Was just reading in the news that Nationwide will be giving their members £100 each from their earnings. Didn't really believe it but just went into my app on my phone and it is true. I am eligible.

Need to have a current account, a savings account or a mortgage with them.

Will get myself some nice new trainers.

There are some Ts and Cs as below.

Reading the final book of Th Ascendant Wars series. If you're into SciFi it's a decent series co-authored by two respectable authors. However this book must have been rushed to meet a deadline as I've never encountered a book with so many grammar errors. There must not have been an editor involved. Too bad as the mistakes are really distracting making what would have been a 4 start book a 1 star.

Got an email from them earlier, so a nice little bonus.

Woke up this morning about 8am to 2 texts from what seemed like my Bank, Santander.

First one was from a text stream/number i had previously got legit Santander stuff, telling me they wanted me to check some recent transactions, and another separate text would come from a different number, and how to respond.

The 2nd text was there as well, with a 'respond Yes or No if you recognise these transitions'.

The texts had been sent at 5.30am when i was asleep

They were 3 £25 transactions for Marks and Spencer, which certainly weren't me, i checked my Banking App and it showed them as 'pending' out.

Both texts i thought were legit, but i didn't respond, i just called Santander. They confirmed they had sent them, someone had made 4 attempts at Marks of £25 each, the 4th triggered them to freeze the card, and the address didn't match mine.

They then put me through to the fraud department who said my debit card had been compromised, they cancelled it, ordered me a new one, confirmed they would refund the £75, which they have now done.

I was then chatting to the guy in the fraud department, saying i'm quite security conscious, i won't use a card if i think it might be dodgy etc, and what did he think happened, i had looked and didn't see anything out of the ordinary where i had used my card recently bar an online Pizza which charged me twice, but refunded me straight away. He said don't beat yourself up over it, there's loads of ways they can get your details, it might have been i used it somewhere where their security wasn't great etc.  I also said surely if they were ordering stuff from Marks to be delivered they could take this further? He said it's not that easy, i could contact the Police, but as it's financial, now stopped, they would be unlikely to do anything.

Half of me's thinking these cunts are smart as f**k to be able to get people's details. But then the other half of me's thinking, why would you be so stupid as to do 4 identical £25's where it's pretty certain it then would get scrutinised, and why so little, i have 1000's in that account? I assume there was some valid reason or whatever, the way they were doing it would only allow it that way etc, the software or whatever.

Was scary, but from when i woke up  and realised, to when i was speaking to the Bank and it was sorted, was less than 10mins. They said i could have replied to the text with a 'No' straight away, but i said i didn't want to respond to anything, just wanted to call them incase i was downloading something on my phone from a dodgy text. I also could have froze the card straight away via my banking app, but i just wanted to call the Bank. They immediately said they'd refund the money, which was good, never any issue with that.

Cunts!

I read about this yesterday too and have an old FlexDirect Account a friend uses when she's in the UK, and she's been there 2 or 3 times so far this year.  Great I thought, but then noticed the requirement to have deposited £500 per month (2 months from 3) and she hasn't done that so out of luck this time.

Arrived in good Time for my Train to France, they offered the 0615 instead of 0720 which I was booked on. Great I thought.

Having sailed through passport control, not even swabbed, this is easy today.

Now it's 0645 and we are still waiting to board, having watched those that boarded in front of us to be escorted back from the train to the waiting lanes.

Just hoping they sort it out soon, or we won't make the lake in time to draw for swims.

Mind you, the other 4 fishing may well be stuck here too!

Yes, it clearly wasn't me, i'm a peasant, don't shop in Marks. Not like posh @galenkia who wouldn't think of shoplifting anywhere else than Waitrose and Marks.
