Hello! Many of the older members will remember me from the other boards. I lived in Jomtiem for a bit and I have been visiting Thailand for 30 years or so.5 points

We walked into the Thai festival and immediately lost Andy. Thought he had found the local soi 6 facility but stupid me, he had found the beer tent. Having a good time with Gazza, Adam, Andy and families. Fun for a few hours. Singha beer £10 for 4 cans, Thai food dishes around £5. All having a great time5 points

Just drove to Birmingham to the mobile thai embassy. it offers a full service for all the Thais in the uk for any documents. I can’t believe how busy the place is and how many are here. Not only is it just like been in Thailand it even smells like Thailand. all I need is for some one to shout out falang falang Look no shoes By all accounts it travels around the country every few weeks Added:- The flooring is worn out, it would be silly not to had out a few business card and offer a good price ...!5 points

Hi everyone on the forum. Been using another, large Thai forum for years but find that all the adverts has now put me off of it. Met a chap at the Birmingham Thai temple today who told me he had started this forum, so thought I’d give it a go. I retired when I was 47 (now 66) and at 50, moved to Thailand in 2000 with my Thai wife, who I met in the UK in 1998 where she was doing her second degree. Moved to HuaHin and had a beach house, just down from the Palace. Fantastic life, as I was on a retirement visa, and spent most of our time traveling. We spend time between Thailand and UK. Hope to enjoy this forum. Khun Don.3 points

Good Day All A visitor to LOS since 1985, the era of the Purple Persuader. Pre HIV, pre internet, all information came by word of mouth and this probably led to many misunderstandings and myths. First trip stayed at a guest house Soi 38 Sukhumvit which was still a dirt road with very little development beyond the Mui Thai Academy a hundred yards in . Happy Days. I look forward to participating on this forum.3 points

Hi all. New to the group. First visited Thailand around 2009 and have been back several times every year since. Ultimately I plan to retire to Thailand (but also will consider Bali, Cambodia and Vietnam) but, unfortunately personal circumstance mean I'm stuck in the UK for a few more year. Nice to meet everyone.2 points

Hope you enjoy it there as much as I do. There's an Aussie guy on You Tube with a channel call "Johnny There is Somehting Happening". He lives in Hua Hin and posts some good restaurant reviews. If you like fishing too, visit Hua Hin Fishing Lodge. Great day out and owned by a Brit.1 point

Hi folks just signed up. Recognise quite a few names on here. Love the idea of no abuse. I use the same log in on all of the Thai forums that I am a member of. Looking forward to joining in. Been coming to Thailand since 2006, haven't made it every year though. Do you have to have made a few posts before you can attach pics.1 point

I use either Thai or EVA, but mainly EVA for the last 4 years. I'll explain why. Living in Bristol, Heathrow is our best Airport to fly from. We could fly from Bristol to Amsterdam and then connect, but did it once with China Air and it was, to be honest, a friggin nightmare. Heathrow is 2 hours from home, so easy to get to. I like the THAI and EVA Flight times, 9pm ish. This means I can get a half days work done, then leave at 4pm to get to Heathrow. I don't samoke or like a break to stretch my legs, so direct is perfect. I like to arrive in BKK around 3pm as connecting flight to Udon is c5.151 point
