I'm Just going to work this out.. I smoked just less than two boxes per day that's around 35 cigs. So 35 x 30 days = 1050 cigs per month at a cost of £525 wow.. So £525 per month and i've not smoked for the last 18 months = £9450 Now that's a saving .. but not just in money but on my life.. if i still smoked i wouldn't be here today.

The headlights of my 10yo Mazda 2 went yellow and blind over the years. Tried the toothpaste polishing, which left me with 2 limp arms and 2 blind headlights. There are some sprays on the market but I read that you could use Baygon cockroach spray as well. Tried this, the result lasted a day or so. When replacing a bulb I enquired about new complete sets of headlights and was quoted 6400 Baht for the pair. As alternativ they offered me to polish the plastic for 800 which would be good for 6 month or so. Thought they would come up with the toothpaste method, but they sanded them down first and then poured some of this restoration liquid into an evaporator (with some water added, I believe). After sanding I thought, now the lights will be beyond repair, but when vaping the stuff at a close distance, they turned magically clear. Looks like new. If this last for a while than this is a good /cheaper alternative for replacing the hole lights, as new lights would become blind after a few years again.

maybe i am thick ( yes) but agoda always asks for payment and show a cancellation policy. I booked an hotel a few weeks back, but for a reason was a no show, obviously no refund and i didnt expect one. Agoda, for me, is good. shows comparable hotels, and the room pics too. I, for example, must have a balcony but dont care about wifi. i want breakfast too, and cofee making gear in the room as I work at 5AM where ever I am. agoda makes it simple.

I have a Japanese friend in London (she's lived here decades, and is very Anglicised) who has a good friend in Japan who has put her mother in such a place, near Chiang Mai. I think this will be a growing trend. The care is very labour intensive, so going where the labour is cheaper makes sense. My mother had Alzheimers, and in the final years didn't know me, or whether I'd visited. I don't think the fact that friends and relatives won't visit very much is too important. What is important is good quality care and companionship.

Potentially extremely confusing- I think it would work best in very specific circumstances where the patient had strong links/memories with LOS . Finding an appropriate home in the UK was in my experience a nightmare, though I did get there in the end. LOS wouldn't have worked for my Mum despite her always complaining of feeling cold😁, but having been through it myself I couldn't bring myself to criticise someone else in the same situation, making a different decision. I heard nightmare stories from other patients families and carers about their experiences in other UK homes. Can really understand as to why people might make seemingly drastic choices

there is a home on the dark side that specialises in this, mainly for expats. i am told they do an excellent job too

Today marks 5 months since I gave up - the cravings still come sometimes but are much easier to manage. My app tells me that I have NOT smoked 6100 cigarettes and saved enough to buy myself a business class return to Bangkok or a Economy return and 10 days in a medium priced hotel. Jade House is now for sale. The previous owner has "leased" the club to someone else and when I visited the place in late December, there were only 4 ladies working. I will be surprised if it is still open in 12 month's time.

The Mclub is open from 1pm until midnight mate. It is a gentleman's club along the lines of club 4, pirates, post office etc. A bit out of the way for ya me thinks.

I got lucky down Wetherspoons last night and ended up shagging some bird back at her place, over the kitchen table. All of a sudden, we heard a key go in the front door. "Quick, It’s my husband!!", she screamed. "Try the back door.." Well, in hindsight, I really should've just legged it but you don’t get an offer like that every day..... 😉

Decided to have a Sunday roast, well cooked chicken:- covered the chicken in honey soy sauce and pepper:- Roast potatoes boiled until soft then olive oil and peppered:- Did the veg and made the onion gravy but got the Yorkshire pud's from Aldi.. Was bloody lovely

I at one time or the other stayed in every room in the hotel yea the good old days. Someone mentioned the Superbowl games we hosted and that was always very busy and a fun morning, One year a customer brought a football with him and at halftime a group of guys went out to soi 14 and tossed it around good fun. If they can keep the rooms at 1150 or less a night IMO would be a fair price for that location. If the price is what has been posted 2K then they are having a laugh for sure. I will be interested in seeing what will happen to the Hotel and Bar as well. On a facebook thread someone that must be connected to the bar said it will be a great fun place come the end of this month. I then said no bar was any more fun that the original Secrets back in the day. There was no reply back.

For 800 a night Secrets rooms are a pretty decent deal....For 2300 a night Secrets rooms are a horrible deal.....Could be one of the worst deals in Pattaya...

Better supervise when they hang the sign to make sure they have the arrow pointed in the correct direction.
