Up to them, for whatever their reasons.as long as those who want it can get it quickly. That in itself is a mammoth task if say 50 million are to be innoculated and it will take weeks and a lot of GP time. Maybe governments will set up inoculation centres in cities, towns and villages to speed up the process. I can't see it happening for quite a few months, so in the meantime we should all do our bit by being sensible and following guidelines even though it's a pain in the arse. Better that than risk facing a second wave and going back to some of the lockdown restrictions that have recently been eased. 2020 will be the year we would all like to forget and next year hopefully, life will return to as near normal as it was at the begining of 2020. That said,it will likely take a couple of generations to fully recover from the financial impact in most C19 affected countries, and we will be paying the cost one way or another. And, we will be a lot better prepared for any future pandemics with lessons learned from Corona Virus. Sadly, that will no conselation to the mllions of those who lost their loved ones worldwide. Given the 30 - 50 million who go down with influenza every year in the USA instead of getting vaccinated it is not going to be "some" who refuse to be vaccinated. Just like influenza the genie is out of the bottle (or laboratory) and Covid19 and its subsequent mutations will be here for ever. The world will just have to get used to that fact and learn to live with the consequencies. We all lose loved ones for all sorts of reasons. I know I have and I am sure so has many forum members. It is personally sad for everyone not just those that have lost them through Covid19. Personally, I am much more worried about catching dengue fever given the number of mossie's around at the moment.

Without expanded testing and aggressive contract tracing no one really knows now much the protests added to the current surge. But...don't let that stand in the way of your race baiting agenda. Krapow
I'd say the BLM protests and the trump rallies both added to infections, not either or. That would be common sense. Nightcrawler
1 hour ago, coxyhog said: French bus driver beaten to death by his passengers because he asked them to obey the law.Very sad & so fucking stupid. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/07/11/family-announces-death-offrench-bus-driver-beaten-passengers/ This exactly the kind of thing that can happen when certain people exercise their so called freedoms. Bus drivers, train and subway staff put their lives at risk so that the public can enjoy the freedom mobility. I would compare the need to wear face masks at the moment with driving. In civilised societies, we have to have a licence to drive after undergoing a test. We have to be insured, our vehicles have to be roadworthy and we pay a tax to keep our cars on the road. All things considered we are then free to drive. For the safety of ourselves, our passengers, pedestrians and other road users we rely on common sense and if we do not apply that then those people are at risk of death or injury. We are forbidden to drive if we have excess alcohol or certain drugs. Common sense. They are all restrictions of freedom but most accept them on the grounds of common safety. We keep a reasonable distance from other vehicles, we avoid pedestrians,we are vigilant, we wear seat belts. All there for safety reasons because we know that millions are killed and injured by RTAs around the world every day. So. We have a virus which is a danger to all, to our health and even our lives. Why is it such an imposition for people to do the sensible thing by wearing a mask in public areas, keeping their distance from strangers, regularly washing their hands and avoid large gatherings of people???? In UK, very few have been fined for lockdown offences, but thousands given speeding tickets, and caught for traffic offences each day. So it's hardly a police state or some kind of dictatorship. Whilst this virus remains a danger to us all, then is the price of COMMON SENSE too higher price to pay.??? Since we have faced terrorist attacks, restrictions have been placed at airports. Yes, it's a pain in the arse and none of us like it, but we accept that it is for everyone's safety. Only a matter of weeks ago, shops were closed, many had to stay home, we couldn't get a hair cut, could not eat out, could not go to the pub or night club, could not leave our local area, could not visit the seaside etc etc etc. Now we can, again, so those loss of freedoms were temporary As we will in the future be able to walk around not wearing masks and social distancing. All that is required is patience and common sense and the near future will be a lot rosier. 1
