I bought a Victa Valiant petrol mower with a Briggs and Stratton engine. It was quite expensive at the time, But believe it or not, I am still using it today and I have only put 2 replacement spark plugs in it and petrol of course! It will probably go bang now the next time I use it, although it worked fine yesterday. I do have a corded strimmer, but I plug it into a fast acting RCD just in case I catch the cord, although most stuff is double insulated these days! Same here. Up at the country house we have a huge lawn so I got a troy-bilt brigs & stratton self propelled gasoline mower. Down at the city house I just got a rechargeable plastic blade trimmer. It says a charge will run for two+ hours but we can finish the job in 30 minutes.

Horizondave
Just downloaded the NHS covid vaccination status app on my phone. In Wales it hadn't been available until the 25th June (Friday) just gone. I do have a letter as well but the app on the phone is very useful when traveling or for events.

Yes the NHS data is good but I like to have the letter as well. I also have a link which allows me to download a PDF of all my details to my phone on Drive. Just like to be prepared with the letter for when I go to the airport just in case the phone plays up.

KWA
Booking a Day 2 and 8 Covid test package for £170. I've decided that 16 months in Thailand is enough for now and I'm heading home in a couple of weeks. UK seems mostly open so why not. 1
boydeste
Having a lazy day as it's pissing it down here today. Stood on the scales to see how my current weight loss is doing and was happy to see that I have lost 6 pounds now in the last 2 weeks. Time for a nice cold pint of tap water!

The App allows you send your status to yourself, so you can print it off, so have a hard copy as well. I assume it'd be the same as you get in the letter. 1

This is because I got the letter from NHS England and the digital app I used for the hard copy PDF was issued by NHS Wales. The vaccine info is the same which is the important part. I actually had to send an email to my doctor for him to enter my vaccine data in to the system. I was in a bit of a catch 22 situation for a while as I had the vaccination dosage in England but couldn't use the NHS England app because my surgery was in Wales. I managed to get the letter from NHS England but could only use the NHS Wales digital app once it came online last week. All sorted now though. Porn has had her first vaccine in Wales so should be easier to access her info online or by letter.
tko
Having a bit of a laugh. For no particular reason, other than I'm a numbers guy, I realized that little guy is 7 yo and daughter is 11 yo. So now I have to figure out how to turn that they're 7-11 into a joke. Booze was involved in my descent into this train of thought.

tko
The wife blew my mind this evening. She asked if we could move back to Texas. We have two houses here and two kids in school (if they ever reopen). I asked her why, she said the vaccines.

She has a point considering the Thai roll out and current infection numbers, nevermind it's the Chinese vaccine IMO ...pity you couldn't just go and come back on a vacc holiday Edited June 29, 2021 by Krapow

Daughter would be 12 yo when we get her US passport renewed (BKK consulate visit), so Pfizer is the only choice. Three of us, flights, pre flight covid tests, hotel, four-five weeks in country. At least the shots would be free, at any drugstore or grocery store with a pharmacy. EDIT: I left out the return ASQ for the three of us. I was looking forward to some proper steakhouses and Tex-Mex when I told her 1-1.5MBaht which is doable. She said "nevermind.'
