  1. Finally I found my form, lost my 2nd match to a guy I gave a 3 start to 6 and the 8 as his extra money ball. It's double elimination, so I beat all of the guys on the loosers side until I got to play the same guy again. This time I was playing real well and beat him hill hill. In the final I slaughtered the guy 7 to 2, I had to give him a 2 start, so he didn't win a game. Very very satisfying to finally start to play to my potential. Unfortunately it has taken 5 months and I will be returning home soon to terrorise the fish! At least over the 5 months my flight has been paid for!

  5. Just taken a taxi down to Suk soi 4 at 2am, only have to cross the road to soi 3 to be home. Still pissed up wankers trying to wet everyone waiting to cross the road. It's a popular pick up point for the lady boys, a bit of a confrontation between the 2 and the wankers retreat. Thankfully I made it home dry, credit to the cock in a frock brigade!

  7. In another pool competition today and really didn't want to get soaked. Was mildly surprised when the first taxi I flagged down was happy to take me to Times Square for 100b. Its around 60 on the meter. From there I can get around on the elevated walk way into Terminal 21 without getting wet. The taxi guys at ground level were armed and dangerous. Lol

  13. Well - my post here has nothing to do with Banks or Phone Companies, but this was one of the most aggravating experiences I have had with any company. I had purchased a plane ticket from Cebu Pacific for a domestic flight from Manila to Tacloban. When I got to the airport my ticket had been cancelled even though they had charged my credit card. They said there was no record of the credit card payment. I was going to see my honey. She had traveled 3 hours to Tacloban to meet me. We were going over to Naval for a starter. I did not want to leave her stranded in Tacloban wondering what the hell had happened to me, so I bought another ticket. It took me two years to get the charge straightened out with Cebu Pacific. At one point they told me that they could not refund my money because their email server had crashed and they had lost all records related to my initial purchase. 😠 I had kept tracks about all of this and turned them over to Citibank (the credit card issuer). At first they said hey your problem not ours, but I got a nice lady on the phone who was willing to look through said tracks. She got back to me after looking through said tracks and laughingly said "these guys are incredible, I am amazed". I got my refund from Citibank. Now when Citibank is the good guys in any story something is incredibly wrong.

  14. Shared room? Accomodation is so cheap here, no need to share a room. Electricity is charge at 10 Baht? Government rate is 4-5 Baht if you pay the bills directly, so they are profiting from it. Some appartment managers do this as well, but 6-8 Baht is what is usually asked. 10 Baht is a bit over the top.

  18. My latest trip (and apologies for not making the coffee meet up - I had a lot going on) started kind of well. my (comfortable and slept for a solid 9 hours) EVA flight arrived early, de planed and immigration was pretty clear. By way of some miracle my bags were among the first to come off (same happened on my return journey) and I was out, and into the Nams taxi by 16:30, so less than an hour after hitting the tarmac. I then LINE messaged my friend, (who had given the deposit for my room) immediately called me back. "got a problem with your room mate" "oh no, what's the score" "well, I went to the Hotel this morning to drop you off a few beers" (See, he's a good mate)" and they'd given your room away" "what the fucking hell are you on about?". "yeah, so I got an arse on and spoke to the manager, read him his horoscope and told him he's in breach of contract, so they've upgraded your room for the entire stay, oh and you've got breakfast thrown in as well". My mate managed to work a miracle, and it was a great start to a great trip. Upon arriving at the hotel the senor receptionist gave me a sheepish look and told me that my friend had been quite firm in his manner. For those of you who are wondering, it was Cerberus, the former owner of the Devils Den who sorted everything. In addition, I also got a free cocktail voucher. I was pretty tired, and believe it or not on my first night I fell asleep on the bed with a bag of crisps and a beer and woke up 10 hours later picking broken crisps out of my bumcrack. Fast forward a few days, and I was eating my breakfast when there was some commotion going on. The place (Page10 Soi 10) had only gone and caught fire. Worse still, my room was 3 floors above it. As panic was obviously starting to set in, they evacuated the hotel, however, as everyone was running out, I was running upstairs to grab my cash, cards, passport and phone charger (no idea why I grabbed the charger though), and despite the staff telling me otherwise, I was fucking having none of it. Last thing I needed was to be stranded with no money or cards and having to ponce drinks and sleep in abandoned bars. Luckily Pattaya's finest fire service managed to get their 48 year old fire tender to work and extinguish the fire. My room stunk of smoke, so I aired it all day, stayed at my friends for the night and returned the following day. By way of compensation we were given a cup of tea or coffee in the restaurant. I thought that was generous given the fact I could have been looking at losing all my clothes, my passport, airline tickets and the thick end of a few grand in readies. So, lesson learned and the moral of the story, if your hotel catches fire and you're lucky enough to be there at the time, grab everything and ignore any toxic smoke or instructions from the staff.

  19. The Brenn I knew. Not sure about the other. Those rifle muzzles must get hotter than a mother. I wouldn't want to have to tote one of those around after funneling a few dozen rounds through them. Fcuk. EOD guys have a lot of "tricks" to take care of shit. But, those guys have to have a few loose screws.

  21. Hello. I am a retired UA Marine and I love it here. I have been here for about one year and have made all possible mistakes with the women here. But I am a bit wiser now. It seems I always need to learn the hard way. But I love the Jomtien area and I do daily hikes on the beach. I feel lucky to be here!

  22. Came in Suvarnabhumi yesterday at 6,10pm,new terminal, nice, train takes you to old terminal 5 minutes,up the escalator your right opposite immigration which was pretty quiet with queue s about 10 or so deep at each booth, through less in 10 minutes and in taxi to hotel at lat Krabang. The flight was Qatar from lhr ,we had to stop at Cairo for fuel as could not go through Iran Iraq airspace now. On a positive side it cut my 4 hour wait in doha down to 1 hour, each flight had 3 seat to myself, all in all pleasant journey.

  27. So, looks like Liverpool and Arsenal want Man City to win the Premier League. Also looks like Rangers want Celtic to win the Scottish League. Even looks like a change of the guard in Germany, interesting times.

  29. I went out today for a few hours, walked over to Soi 7 and bought a PVC gun easily for 300b; from there walked to Soi 6 and hung out for the rest of the afternoon before making my way back down 2nd Rd to New Plaza, then Soi Buakhow to Chayapoon and Soi Lengkee to Soi Diana before getting home @10:15 or so. Everyone having fun and well-behaved during the afternoon, but still too many people throwing water around at 10:00PM and later and they'll probably still be doing it here and there after midnight - they get drunk and just don't want to stop. Traffic was horrendous, walking pace on Beach Rd and not much better on 2nd Rd, and total gridlock by Treetown on Soi Buakhow...

  30. Mike is one of the good guys. When I had my motorcycle accident some years ago, he was a great help to me in sorting out insurance and treatment and his partner even retrieved my bike and brought it back to my residence. I met up with him in October last year and he was in more or less full recovery.

  31. I will ask him, I'll speak to him this afternoon 🙂 He's absolutely fine and dandy mate. I spent a chunk of my holiday at his house, we went around town a few evenings but mostly ended up in Hops on Yamato or Beer Hubb on Beach Road for some food and a few beers, or eating in the evening at his. People have mentioned or asked about his health issues, which have been exaggerated by the jungle drums and even some twat saying he'd died (which I got pretty angry about on PA and probably banned, but hey ho). He spent a couple of weeks in hospital during Covid with an unrelated condition, but since then he has been in fairly good health. He's relaunching the Devil's Den soon, and is seeking people to invest and inject some cash into it, I understand that all the info is on PA.
