It's been too long since my last update here, so this morning got up early to get a ride in around Mabprachan before the heat of the day kicks in. In a nutshell, last time I saw the reservoir this low at this time of year was during the drought of 2015. Sure hope rainy season is good to us this year otherwise we're probably looking at water rationing later in the year.

Couple or 3 weeks ago I posted on another thread about a drunken “can’t talk about it” guy who got his arse handed to him by a couple of friends who are ex US servicemen in the Brickhouse in Udon. One of the guys ran into the same guy at the weekend. He said his humbling experience was a turning point and thanked my mate profusely. Apparently he had suffered some family issues and lost himself in alcohol, ended up in Thailand for the last 6 months. He told my mate he hadn’t had a drink for 16 days and had booked a flight back to the States to try and resolve his issues. I am wishing him all the best and hope he succeeds.

There's supposed to be a chance of us getting some rain from tomorrow for the rest of the week. Fingers crossed!

Any of you guys who live here, find yourself eating less because of the brutal heat? I have lost 3 pounds in the last month....even though yes, being in an air-conditioned home, you still have to go out and about. Just seems like my appetite is just not as strong right now. I normally weigh about 205 lbs, just checked, I am at 202 lbs. Yesterday at the gym, someone said to me "you look a bit thinner"?

That place looks familiar???? Oh yeah Phuket, had a blast there over the holidays.....

We made it up to Bangkok today. Both the Mrs and myself have been under the weather recently, so I am not sure how much site seeing we will be doing in this heat. I do want to try the restaurant that @lazarus recommended. The main purpose for the 4 day trip is for the Mrs' visa interview at the US Embassy. We will go through her docs once again tomorrow, so that she is fresh on everything for the interview. Tuesday is the actual interview. Our agent got an early time for the interview, so we will probably hustle it over to the embassy trying for a 7:30 arrival for an 8:45 interview. According to our agent one gets a seeding number based on their arrival time. One disappointment so far. The dinner time party boats on the Chao Phraya are kicking up a bloody racket. I have stayed at the Chatrium Riverside 5 or 6 times in the past and do not recall there being an issue of this nature. I am unlikely to stay here again for this reason.

When we were in town the local fire fighters were collecting for their charity, so we both gave them £20 each. I always have given to good causes.

About to go to the gym, then back to shower and change. Sally is off work today so we will go and buy some flowers then go to the cemetery. Then probably lunch at the Italian restaurant by the flat.

I had a few days of walking like John Wayne a few years ago whilst in Pattaya. I went commando and whilst mounting my motorbike, I sat straight on my scrotum. Very painful experience it was too. After that, I made sure that the boys were kept safety in the barracks at all times.

Correction, water levels were much worse April, 2020. Fortunately it was during the pandemic so we didn't have any pesky tourists drinking what little water remained.

I watched it in a pub in Bangsar Bahru KL !!! All the Aussies left with 10 minutes to go because we were watching a delayed feed and they knew the score!! "If you wanna f**k an Aussie use a Jonny" was one sign in the crowd that sticks in my mind !!

Firefighters and cops have a sort of rivavlry. Mostly "taking the piss". They are known for cooking brilliant meals in the firehouse. Cops are jokingly jealous. We also will have softball matches, etc. Sort of a love/hate thing.

The heat hasn't affected my eating habits, it's my exercise routine that has been affected. I've never cared for indoor exercising, so the brutal heat has really put a dent in my usual exercise routine of a daily bike ride or walkabout. I also haven't been on a hash run for about six weeks as I can't see myself enjoying running around jungle trail in the later afternoon heat of the day.

Just by chance today I got in line at the market behind a stunning blonde Brit lass. She was wearing this faded denim cut off bib overall outfit. Slight ass cheek showing, no bra (I snuck a quick side view). Also wearing a cute hat (I am a huge sucker for girls wearing hats. They can put me into complete melt mode). As she was picking up her bag after the tally she looked up me. The smile and look in her eye was instant hard on. We could have fcuked right there. Somewhat frustrating, but nothing like getting tunderstruck at the checkout.

Waiting in new terminal for doha flight. Must be thai restaurants somewhere ,but I opted for a mcdonalds breaky and can't be arsed moving from these comfy chairs at my gate. I like the design and set up tho,plenty of space,at the currency exchange she didn't have Qatar riyal,and only 50 notes fir British currency,need a few more eaterys tho unless there's some up the other end.
