either way he is taskin more money on p pay than in the registers, seems the girls are happy, virtual punters happy and he is covering his bills.  each to their won, but i am told many of the virtual punters have never been to Pattaya before.  so a new revenue source for the future too.  actually impressed they tho8ght out of the box.  most are wailing in their empty  dens and doing nothing new to create interest.

If I was flowers I'd rent out a couple of large rooms above the bar. Get it fitted with lighting and audio for live streaming. Then have girls constantly working online, selling snide tequilas to lonely men thousands of miles away. He can do this when the borders reopen, he'd a make a fortune.

Modern 'free' online porn has created an insatiable market for livestream.

Covid shutdowns have just added fuel to the fire.

Popular Thai youtube videos (some with over 1 million 'streams) is also an 'entry' for what your describe...

I wouldn't be too quick to give credit to Byran for thinking outside the box and introducing the concept of livestreaming as another revenue source. I believe FLB was the first to provide a livestream via a webcam in their bar and invite customers to remotely buy LD's. That was back around 2009 or 2010.

They've been doing it for years. There was an online chatroom called camfrog, it was full of Thai brasses dancing for money, albeit the customers were mostly Thai.

Moving into a virtual world where people don't leave the house all day.  Living in a world through their PC. Wonder what people would have done before the internet?

Crime may have increased..Devil makes work and all that.

They had magazines delivered by mail.

Some still do. 😉

I was going to ask if they still delivered the Yellow Pages, but looked it up and found the final issue was in 2019. Surprised they lasted that long. As far back as the mid-90's I remembered getting both the White and Yellow pages and immediately tossing them into the recycle bin. Even back then the information contained in the dead tree pages was readily available on the internet.

Martin told me that during some quiet nights this represented as much as 10% of takings.

I ate at Smokin Joes a few months ago......I noticed a few things besides being the only customer.....For one Joes has got some major league big cooking ovens in back so it's not like they can downsize or move very easily......Another problem cooked meat needs a fast turn over to stay fresh, You can't cook a brisket in 10 minutes like a hamburger....And cheap restaurants like Hungry Hippo are not doing them any favors........Good luck to them.....But even a price of zero sound too expensive to me at this time....

They need tourists to survive. There's just not enough expats to go around. From what im hearing, whilst soi LK metro and parts of buakhao are holding up well, soi lengkee is apparently struggling.
