Homemade spring rolls.

Always wanted to make these, but I fear it would be like the one time I made banh mi- sense of accomplishment, then the thought “ I just spent hours on this when I could have just spent a few bucks and saved the labour time”

I make Chimichangas now and again.  Probably an equivalent amount of labor to the egg rolls.  But in my case there's no place nearby to spend a few bucks if we want them.  Plus when I do them I make enough for a couple days plus some in the freezer (not deep fried, yet) for the next time.

We went for lunch at a place next to one of the Klongs.  Cool breeze off the water.

All this after a starter of about 20 moo satay sticks, two large Leos, a couple bespoke fresh fruit drinks, and a bottle of water.  Just over 600 Baht (about $20, £15, €17).  Life is good.

More culinary delights from quarantine.....

Mashed potato was cold and veg soft as mr whippy ice cream,so washed the rancid gravy from the chicken threw it on the hot rings, chucked some 1000 island sauce, chilli powder and the side salad ,better at least.
