Love liver but its bad for setting off gout so have stopped eating it along with pretty much all meat and dairy. Would get pain starting in my toes so knew a flare up was coming. 

Since cutting these foods out I have been fine. Probably about 90% vegetarian and about 70% vegan now. 

Do miss liver though.

It's not as bad as I thought it would be. You get used to it pretty quickly. And I have always ate a lot of non meat dishes anyway. 

Anyone who gets gout will tell you that you'll do anything to avoid a flare up, it's that painful.
