Doddle. SR flour, suet, water. Add other flavourings if you want. Mix, form into blobs, bung into whatever you're cooking, leave for 30 minutes. 

Note the correct use of technical culinery terms.

I can clearly remember my grandmother making them in her large open kitchen some 55 + years ago. Those chicken and dumplings could never me matched by this mere mortal. Besides.... I can't be arsed.

Yum!  One of my favorites as well.   I'll have to make it one day this week.  Autumn and winter are the seasons for chicken and dumplings Pennsylvania Dutch style.

Fresh tomato and cucumber salad in oil and vinegar carrot spaghetti regular mixed vegetables and a large grilled chicken breast with a little bit of bisto gravy. When I was younger I could eat anything anytime now that I'm getting older every time I eat a lot of shit food I feel terrible in the morning for the last 3 days I've eaten no carbs no sugar and I wake up and I can tell the difference.
