Krapow
EU and US arrivals will not have to quarantine from 2 August Arrivals from the EU and US will be able to come to England from an amber country without having to quarantine if they're fully vaccinated from 04:00 BST on Monday 2 August, the transport secretary has announced. Grant Shapps tweeted that the changes will apply to fully vaccinated people with an FDA or EMA approved vaccine. "They’ll still need to do the usual pre-departure test before arrival and take a PCR test on day two of returning to the England," he says. "We're also able to confirm the restart of international cruises and flexible testing programmes to help key workers and drive our economic recovery. Whether you’re a family or a business, this is progress we can all enjoy," he says. 1
Nightcrawler
Like many others, I have an NHS QR code showing my double vaccination information, both for Domestic and Travel use on my phone and tablet, also downloaded the PDF version which I have printed out as hard copy. Better than the little card we were given when vaccinated which could be easily forged. Can get these by downloading the NHS app and registering. Don't know what system of verification will be used by US/EU citizens for Verification but I am guessing that will be checked at their departure airports The QR code can be scanned and the details will match those on your passport identity so I should imagine its almost impossible to forge

"You’re taking a huge risk, and you will very likely catch COVID if you go to Las Vegas," says Hawaii's Lt. Gov. Josh Green, who is also a physician, in a new statement on Twitter to Hawaii's residents. "You’re in restaurants or in a casino where most people are not wearing masks. That’s what’s going to happen. You will definitely catch COVID. Then you’ll come back, you’ll be asymptomatic for a few days, you’ll test positive for COVID, and you’ll give it to your whole family."... Thanks for this sort of info. ! If anyone knows (or learns of) of an app that can be used to store proof of vaccination records that is acceptable for international travel, etc. please advise. - for U.S residents. And/or the process for properly uploading those documents into the app. Would be greatly appreciated.

Krapow
1 hour ago, boydeste said: Does that include France though? Seemingly not, though the next 'travel review' is due in a few days. Here's a little more from Transport Secretary Grant Shapps, who has rejected criticism that the government has been too slow to allow double-vaccinated visitors from Europe and the US to avoid self-isolation. Passengers fully vaccinated with vaccines authorised by the EMA and FDA in Europe - with the exception of France, and the US will be able to travel to England without having to quarantine on arrival from 04:00 on 2 August Shapps said the government would “always put the security of our country first”. He said the government had needed to wait for other countries “to catch up” with the UK’s vaccination programmes and had wanted to make sure the approach of allowing double-vaccinated UK nationals to avoid isolation when returning home had been working before opening it up further. He said the government would be assessing whether other countries could join the exemption from self-isolation during August. Asked if the self-isolation rules would be relaxed for the rest of the world, he said the government would be “looking at what happens with other countries, in particular where we can rely on their data and their vaccines that they are using, so we will be looking at that next month, during August and opening that up as quickly as is practicable and is safe to do". 1
