Final dinner last night, cannot believe how good this meat loaf tastes at "The Cheesecake Factory" Love this place. Kahlua/Coffee after dinner at the bar to finish up our time here. But i haven't prepared anything yet, we don't go until late November. Ideally i want an appointment in August when we come back from Thailand, and don't go to Turkey until mid/end of October. That said, i'd take one in the next couple of weeks if we got it, this Monday at 9.15 wasn't really doable with sorting documents, photo, the time as school etc. Just sent Sa away to get her passport photo done, have the all documents together now, print them off in work on Monday, have it good to go if the opportunity came up again, but not overly bothered, as we should be able to get an appointment for August once they release them mid July before we go to Thailand. I was worried that a cancellation would have been too soon as we are still getting the documents together. Porn is working now and can get the visa via her own finances etc. We are just waiting for the NHS letter from HR confirming her position, job title, start date etc. I will still give her financial documents for myself but should not be needed. All hotels confirmed and flights all paid. I would have gone with Kataleya alone but happy that Porn has the interview, we will have a great time as a family unit and Kataleya will have the time of her life. Golfingboy Posted June 3, 2023 Share Posted June 3, 2023 (edited) Just back to watching the golf after some drama across the street. 3 fire trucks showed up, one extended its 75’ ladder to the 3rd floor of a brand new apartment building. 3 firemen climbed to the balcony, got in the unit, dumped some earth off. No resident to be seen, so it wasn’t medical. We were all wondering WTF? Suicide, carbon monoxide??? So this kind neighbour who lives a great life despite his MS, and has helped me through my ordeal, finally comes over. Turns out, a bag of earth caught fire from being in the sunshine too long! His wife saw smoke,called 911 as nobody was home, and it was taken care of Just when you think you’ve heard it all…..Lucky it’s under 20C now, we had 35C a couple days in a row, and if the wind was blowing differently……could have spread to the curtains & caused real damage Edited June 3, 2023 by Golfingboy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

To top it all I just stepped on my TV remote control which shattered and now doesn't work. I think I am going to book.a trip, but not on impulse. Maybe tomorrow I will have calmed down a bit. Just shouted at my lodger for something very minor, then had to appologise . I am on a really short fuse at the moment. Lack of sleep is definately a key factor. I had a bad day last week. Long story short.... Some byatch in a Mazda nearly mowed me down when I was on my bike. Then she honked at me as if it was my fault (absolutely wasn't), then the finger came out the window. I ended up in the middle of the road doing the funky chicken dance. I know that is a no no, but Dog damn it felt good. I then picked up my bike and rode off with a delightful snicker on my face. ..... went to bed early that night.
