  1. It's been a lamb shank weekend by the looks of it. Due mainly to me getting drunk and sleeping very late today, mine had 18 hours in the slow cooker. The meat was very tender and tasty. I served it on a bed of mash. Over all I am pleased with my first attempt. My only disappointment was the mint jelly that I bought thinking it was the same as mint sauce. Even so I ended up with an empty plate.

  4. Lunch at the beach cantine today. Good to see people living normally. A birthday party of 12 people on a long table, several tables of 4 or 6 on the beach, old Aussie pensioners shaking hands, none of this crossed out seats shit, etc... Of course there was also the usual clowns table shaking elbows but hey ... if it make them feel like heroes up to them. As long as not one of them tries it with me. Its a handshake or F.O., easy. Anyway, another day on the island of the Gods with a nice lunch and red wine while watching the sea.

  5. On my very first trip to Ireland visiting a mate who lived in the small town of Birr. The young lady, the owner's daughter, knew how to draw a perfect pour.

  6. Yesterday morning after the usual bread and grocery run, we had a stop at the Swedish place. I like the concept of their omelette menu, you compose your own omelette. Select one item of line 1, one item of line 2, and 2 items of line 3. As side dish you have choice between toast and salad. The omelettes are properly made, not the typical Asian one cooked in 2 cm of oil and dry / taste like cardboard. We even managed to have them cooked a bit liquid, as we like them. Ham, mushroom and bell pepper for the Miss (she dont like cheese in an omelette) Ham, mozarella, mushroom and sundried tomato for me Price is not bad at 59 K IDR (3,40 Euro / 125 Thb) 2 omelettes, 1 large Bintang, 1 large Ice tea total 203 K IDR ( 12 euro / 430 Thb) Today's lunch probably at the beach cantine. Life is good under the sun !

  8. Had to fly to Montreal to see Dad again, usually prices here are more than double less than 7 days out, but not now....very cheap even the day before. So I booked with Air Canada, was my first time on a A-220, the last 20+ years it’s always been A319, 320, 321. I had booked an aisle seat on the “2” side of the 2-3 configuration, and my neighbour decided switch rows right away for more room(plane was 50-60% full). So ended up having a whole row to myself, and more room than Business Class....I know most people use points, but full fare was about 800% more than economy. Obviously you are paying a huge premium more space now, it used to be 400%. Cruising altitude was reached fast, only 29,000 feet, but we reached 585 mph at one point, fastest flight I’ve ever had home, way under 4 hours. Beverage trolley passed, but no hot meal service, mandatory masks of course, and we were given a packet with water and sanitizer. Snapped a few quick pics of cabin and Montreal. I don’t know why I’ve hardly heard of this model aircraft, but I really enjoyed the flight, and if you guys are ever on a 220, I’m sure you will too Anyway, reason I came down was Dad’s getting worse, he was out of breath from walking 10 steps. Was thinking his lung cancer is taking over, he’s been on an expensive chemo pill for 10 months. Turns out the tumours haven’t grown, he just had a half gallon of chest fluid that needed to be drained, that was crushing his lungs. They’re doing it in 2 sessions, and I’m picking him up tomorrow. But he has to be less stubborn about getting help, twice now he waited weeks before getting help, almost dying both times. I’m happy to know I’ve got him around for a while still, his 75th is next spring.....going to have a party for sure 🤞

  9. Not when you are playing me mate. I've lost the plot. Forgot to check my team before this weeks round of games only to realise Liverpool Mane got sick. A player I sold last week because of injury, Son, scored a brace again and another, Grealish had a blinder apparently. I might be wrong but you and me have the same forward line up but you've whooped me this week. Christ, even Galenkia has over 60 points so far!

  13. Just eaten my lamb shanks which were cooked in the slow cooker from frozen due a fan problem in the lower oven. Absolutely beautiful but if I had taken a photo it would have looked like Binlid's offering the other day. Lamb shanks with paprika and garlic roasted potatoes and mixed veg. Great combination and the lamb (slow cooked) just fell off the bone. Bought the frozen duo of lamb shanks from Tesco which were sourced from either New Zealand or the GB; whatever they were some of the best I have tasted and that might be because I slow cooked them. Porn's plate was totally devoid of even a piece of veg or potato, she wanted more, happy to oblige on another occasion.

  16. LOL .. Bro .. isn't there a scam going on 90% of the time with most people ( farangs ) here ... I truly hate to sound so cynical .... but, in my encounters with most ( not all ) farangs here that has been the case ..... trying to get something out of you ... lying and cheating along the way ... that is the primary reason I really don't interact with most that live here ... I don't really give anyone a chance to get into my "business" and keep my mouth shut around most if not all ... Yea, there are some super good guys here ... but, few and far between

  20. Looking at past pics is always fun right? I wonder how "Nong" is doing these days, if I get Covid I am pretty sure she would come over and take care of me right? She was a "Nurse" she told me part time LOL! Have not heard or seen any posts from " Barsie" these days and his wife, I wonder if all is well with them? Nice guy and his wife too.

  26. I have traveled the country extensively the last 2 1/2 Month always planing out where i will go. I am doing things a little differently this coming trip. I am taking the first Bus from Pattaya to Ekamai in Bangkok on the 5th and then the MRT to the train station and look at the departure board and then choose my first stop. I will book the hotel on my phone after train ticket is bought. Will stay a couple of days then off to the next town via bus or train doing it basically the same way. The best thing about the Transportation here in Thailand you can get just about anywhere from anywhere. It is really nice to not have to be anywhere at any given time.

  27. There's real pain in that "even Galenkia"- can feel your hurt there🙂 Appalling luck on Mane, Grealish & Son. I had Son too and like yourself got rid because of the injury, people don't come back from a hamstring the next week. Shocking to find Mourinho lying through his teeth😁 I played the wildcard this week, not sure it left me much better off than original squad. Tinkering in this game doesn't seem to work- @Stillearly seems addicted to making transfers. With an international break to sit out, Christ know how many he'll make.

  28. The A220 has from Airbus only the name, it's originally a Canadian product. Half French now. Merçi Mr Trump ! The Airbus A220 is a family of narrow-body, twin-engine, medium-range jet airliners. The airliner was designed by Bombardier Aerospace and originally marketed as the Bombardier CSeries. Bombardier sold the CSeries airliner program to Airbus and it is now owned by Airbus Canada Limited Partnership, a joint venture between Airbus and the Quebec government's investment arm Investissement Québec.

  31. The rules are pathetic,Lamela should have seen red for simulation. As a neutral(& a Sky subscriber) I was watching a really entertaining evenly matched game & that cheating wanker has ruined it.The main thing that is wrong is that the rules allowed it & that's why he did it.

  32. The simplest and least expensive solution, and what would probably be the most effective, would be to build raceways to the sea at the points prone to flooding. They could even turn them into water park amusement rides. Vendors could rent out inner tubes and funyaks at the top of the sois most prone to flooding and customers could ride them down the flooded sois to the sea. Another vendor at the end of the ride could then sell tickets for a decontamination shower.
