Popular Post Horizondave Posted July 10, 2021 Popular Post Share Posted July 10, 2021 (edited) Well I officially became an old age pensioner yesterday so went and had a meal in the Ancient Briton in Pen Y Cae at the foothills of the Brecon Beacons. Had a fabulous meal with the 2 most important people in my life, it was a lovely night. Porn had rump steak (at £17), I had beef and Guinness pie (at £10). Kataleya's sausage and chips was £5 and if I am honest that would have been enough for me. The menu is quite small as they have new owners but the food was of a very good quality. One pint of Pitchfork was all I had as I was driving but I had a few pints of Bishops Finger when I got home. The pub is lovely with a massive outside area, even has a caravan and tent park for those who wish to stay over. It was nice to put some decent clobber on especially to see Porn in a lovely dress, something she hasn't worn for about a year. Being 66 is fine with me.
