The pie looks OK although maybe too much pastry. A Frenchman eating pie, wow lol

Agreed, hence I said I prefer the ones I buy usually. This one is has too much pastry and is not enough creamy inside .  Its made by the French baker at Carrefour, so yeah...not really his field of expertise ! 

 I discovered / learned to eat pie when working in the UK many moons ago.

It is a good set up at Sizzlers.  One pays for the main course and drinks; the soup, salad bar, desert and an option of fresh fruit come free.  That said some of the main courses are very reasonable in price; others can be expensive, so a little care is required.

Went for a buttered ciabatta roll rather than rice.

Sizzlers is great,had many a visit to the ones in North Pattaya and Royal Garden Plaza in the past.Great value for money and quality food.
