Damn I’m getting old……I remember Dad building this huge 4 bedroom white brick spec house new in 1986 for $126K, and only the rarest of supercars costing more than $200K…..Over $4K/month just to lease a Bimmer, world’s gone mad…..

This what they call inflation, eh?

You think that's ridiculous? In certain countries you have to pay a monthly subscription to use the heated seats, the UK included apparently.

Yep it's being rolled out by a few manufacturers. Basically a car comes with full or a set high spec and you lease the extras you want, so for integrated apple car pay it's £3 per month, heated seats, £5 per month etc (not the actual figures but you get my drift).

However, like many BMW's whereby you can interrogate the ECU and make changes to the gearbox etc thru mapping, I'm sure some enterprising young fella will find a way to enable these extras permanently for a one off cost.

An absolute beauty, when i got my new M3 what i really wanted was an M5 but it was too expensive 😲

test drove a 2000 with a 6M in 2003, dealer wanted $74K IIRC, which was around only 30K quid at the time. Closest thing to a plane taking off I have ever experienced personally, salesman let me take it up to 185Km/h,,,,in 3rd gear!.....to think they have added 200 HP since then is scary

Cliff you got the M3 but M5 was too pricey? must have been before you made all those Golden Triangle connections on the Mekong, eh?

I used to regularly get the M3 up to 155mph but it was limited to that speed so that was it, i wonder what it would have done if not limited ? Bloody awesome car.

What beautiful restored cars!

Somebody spent a fortune making them look lid they just came of the assembly line in 1967, and then put on cheap rims and tires.

Oh, I wouldn't call them cheap - I'll bet they cost a pile but they still look like crap on those old cars IMHO...

Just thought I would throw up these car pics. Aug 2021, back home in Calif. They had this show at Reid Hillview airport.

My pick of the litter would have been that Blue 302 Mustang....guy told me someone has offered him $50k for it.....he still would not sell it.
