This was at Pattaya International Hospital on Soi 4; I've had it done there a couple of times before and yesterday's price was 2191b. There's no real preparation beforehand, what they do is put some kind of fluid in your ears that softens the wax and you lay on alternate sides on the cot as they are doing this, @15 minutes per side. Once this stuff has done its trick, and you can feel it bubbling in your ear canal, then they bring out a device that squirts fluid into your ear canal and then sucks it back out with pieces of wax and they keep working with this until the ear canal is clear.

Now the last time I had this done they took me upstairs to a new machine that does the whole thing mechanically - it even has a camera that  shows the work as it is being done and it only took about ten minutes - this is what I thought they would do the other day and I was surprised when they did it all manually instead. They did say I could have waited until 5:00PM that day for a specialist to come in and perhaps that would have been the better thing to do because the nurses had a difficult time of cleaning my ears after three years' worth of wax accumulation and I really hope I never have to leave it this long again - for me it should really be done every year or year and a half or so.

I just wish I knew about this in Oct when I was there.I used to get my ears syringed regularly by the nurses at my GP's here in the UK,I never had a problem with it but they don't do it anymore & you have to go private & get suction treatment.I did that once & it caused me a lot of pain & now I'm partially deaf in one ear.

Must have missed you by a hour or2 Mike.

That said, teerak didn't inform me about the sportsworld expo just the OTOP stuff in the big hall. Typical!!!

I thinks there is about 10 exhibition halls at impact. Which one house the sportsworld Expo please?

Thank you.

OTOP is in the big "Challenger" Halls, Sportsworld and Home Pro are across the street in Hall 5 and 6....we had a blast there yesterday. Hit em all and bought goodies from each. Good day out....

Which hospital? How much? What preparation did you have to take before hand and for how many days?

I'm pretty much deaf now and would like everything cleaned out before I go on holiday to UK..

I was almost deaf after my flights here. Eventually I went to Pattaya Memorial hospital where the doctor sucked ear wax and "dust" out. Perhaps I should clarify that he used a machine for the sucking. No preparation needed. He prescribed anti fungal and antibiotic drops to be used for a week. 2,590 baht all in.

I've had a lovely day out with my daughter for my 66th Birthday.

We stopped on Beach Road to make some sort of plan and I wondered at the time what passersby were thinking when I kept asking her to come home with me...!!!

Anyways, we had a great laugh in PBG about it !!!!

Happy Birthday mate, glad to hear you had a great day.

That's a super clean oven you have there Mr. Lid.

And 6 or 8 of those yorkies would go down very nicely right now, with a bowl of gravy too of course to dunk them in.....

It's a top of the range Rational oven, you can put it on a cleaning cycle and when it finished the cycle it looks like it's just come out the showroom.

Watching the Frogs getting beat. Serves the fuckers right.

I just heard Southgate is staying on as England's Manager. So we can look forward to continue to get knocked out of every competition when we come up against one of the world's  "Top" teams.

We have a great young squad who can only get better under the right Manager. Pity we are stuck with Southgate.

Just booking some new hotels for my next trip .... 😎

Where you going?

I want to get back travelling next year. Fancy some of the European MotoGP or World Superbike rounds.

Also want to make a long awaited trip to Iceland.

Getting to the age where I want to do things now rather than put them off, and while I have a nice chunk of money in the bank.

Almost 8 years since I last left England. Time passes so quickly.

Hahaha you old git!

I was really impressed with the "new" draught beers now available in PBG! When my extra money starts to trickle in next month I can see me drinking Leffe Brown in there quite regularly !!!

Took my mum home yesterday after 8 days with us after her 4 day stay in hospital.

Got a call this morning saying she'd had a fall so hightailed it over there. She didn't seem too bad apart from a big bruise, lump & graze on the right side of her forehead but I called 999 anyway.

Good job I did as the meds she's on require a CT scan if she sustains a blow to the head....why no one informed us of this I do not know.Anyway the ambulance took her to A & E.

Got home & reading our local rag online our ambulance service has declared a critical incident....it took only around 20mins for ours to arrive.

Speaking to the senior of the two paramedics he said he won't be striking as he's a contractor working for his own ltd company, just like I used to do.

The younger of the two was a very tasty young half caste girl👹....

Just finished assembling a scooter that I have bought for my Grandson for Xmas. One less thing to do this week.

Dreading doing a supermarket shop this week, will be chaos. Hopefully no fighting over the last of the Yorkhire puddings 😁😁

Alcohol will be my main priority.
