Trying to make an appointment to speak to a doctor about my concerns about a medication I am taking. I was number 10 in the queue when I rang at 8am and have now been waiting 34minutes.I am currently caller number 4. When they answer the receptionist will probably tell me there are no more appointments available today and to call back tomorrow. Have had that with my surgery, call at 0800 and get through by around 0900 and you may be on the list or, as you say, likely be told call back tomorrow even if you are ill. It took me less than a minute to cut out the pissing side of the water bottle!! But then he told me that one of our neighbours had become too ill with covid last night that an ambulance had to take her to hospital. There seems to be 2 families quite stricken down with it. Plus I’ve since booked 3 holidays for the year and my finances have taken a battering so I’ll skip it for now and see if I can get to one next year.
