  1. Quick update then i'm done with it. I had two tests altogether they both came back negative , the Mrs as you all know was positive. She can go out as from today (the ten days isolation for positives start from the onset of symptoms) Me and the kids have to wait till Tuesday (14 days) She felt ill for just one day just really exhausted and aching. We have never seperated from each other and even carried on sleeping in the same bed.The kids are also unaffected. So much for being so contagious even more so I believe we need to get on with it and shield the elderly (if they even want to) We really can't keep locking down for this bullshit i've seen worse colds. I'm lucky enough to have a small gym / mancave and have been exercising in there most days for the past 4 days she has been doing 10k per day on the treadmill with the most dangerous virus in the world 🙄 I'm done . If any of you are unlucky enough to get a positive don't worry too much , if you have underlying issues maybe take it easy . Take it easy everyone .

  2. I know a few people that have ‘long COVID’ and just can’t shake it. A couple of them are docs who caught it early doors back in March and they are still suffering now from simply being fatigued all the time, one of them his whole family got it and 3 of 5 of them are like that. So It’s not just the people who die from it, there are loads that will suffer long term because of this.

  6. The couple were 85 years old and had been married for sixty years. Though they were far from rich, they managed to get by because they watched their pennies. Though not young, they were both in very good health, largely due to the wife’s insistence on healthy foods and exercise for the last decade. One day, their good health didn’t help when they went on a rare vacation and their plane crashed, sending them off to Heaven. They reached the pearly gates, and St.. Peter escorted them inside. He took them to a beautiful mansion, furnished in gold and fine silks, with a fully stocked kitchen and a waterfall in the master bath. A maid could be seen hanging their favourite clothes in the closet. They gasped in astonishment when he said, ‘Welcome to Heaven. This will be your home now.’ The old man asked Peter how much all this was going to cost. ‘Why, nothing,’ Peter replied. ‘Remember, this is your reward in Heaven.’ The old man looked out the window and right there he saw a championship golf course, finer and more beautiful than any ever built on Earth. ‘What are the greens fees?’ grumbled the old man. ‘This is heaven,’ St. Peter replied. ‘You can play for free, every day.’ Next they went to the clubhouse and saw the lavish buffet lunch, with every imaginable cuisine laid out before them, from seafood to steaks to exotic deserts, free flowing beverages. ‘Don’t even ask,’ said St. Peter to the man. ‘This is Heaven, it is all free for you to enjoy.’ The old man looked around and glanced nervously at his wife. ‘Well, where are the low fat and low cholesterol foods and the decaffeinated tea?’ he asked. ‘That’s the best part,’ St. Peter replied. ‘You can eat and drink as much as you like of whatever you like and you will never get fat or sick. This is Heaven!’ The old man pushed, ‘No gym to work out at?’ ‘Not unless you want to,’ was the answer. ‘No testing my sugar or blood pressure or…’ ‘Never again. All you do here is enjoy yourself.’ The old man glared at his wife and said, ‘You and your fucking bran Flakes. We could have been here ten years ago!!’

  7. Creamy mustard chicken. Turned out pretty good, but I did put too much mustard in it and the mustard taste was a bit overwhelming, which is not the idea. The Miss complained the sauce was too thick (it is supposed to be ...) so next time we'll take it out of the fire a bit earlier. And the recipe, in English.

  8. I think you are probably right and it can't harm . If there is anyone on here who has to go through it though I wish them the best of luck. All I know you couldn't do 10k a day with Stage 3 cancer or a dodgy heart etc etc , time for those people to get the help they really need.

  10. Just been to the hospital for my blood tests, it seems they are now stocked up with the reactant again. The sun is shining and my mate wanted to go out on the boat this afternoon pike fishing, but he has a habbit of lying down for a nap and the phone never wakes him up. Guess what? The fucker ain't answering the phone! Frustrating as I have loaded the car ready.

  12. Bro --- I don't know what the answer is ... but, IMHO lockdowns are ( and were .. and continue to be ) a disaster .... in BKK I still see some people wearing a mask ... like in 7/11 or on the buses .. but, I think masks are a waste also ... There is never any guarantees in life .... just try to go with the flow ( even though I hate going with the flow ) and do the best you can !

  15. Went to a club last night named Sing Sing on Sukhumvit 45 ..... Jeez, the place was just "packed" with beauties ... I seriously could not make up my mind ... Not so sure .... if the make any baht or not ( I think so ) but, big bottles of Leo 50 baht all night ... A Thai gal that I know turned me onto the place .... Nursing a fricking pretty serious hangover this morning .... which sucks ! I got off cheap last night - only spent 1K baht on beers and a couple of mixed drinks for a couple of gals No masks -- absolutely no social distancing ... it was a fun environment ...

  28. Going to revive this thread as I've found a local wine shop and since I'm working all week my guilty pleasure is a glass of red wine (or 2) each day. I'm going to try and find some decent cheaper wines of up to 500 baht and taste some of the more expensive ones for up to 1000 baht. There are more expensive wines available of course, I just don't fancy paying that much. If anyone has a tip for a decent red at a good price pls let me know. Today's selection is the Mont Clair Bin 5 Reserve. Its one of the cheapest wines available in the shop for 385 baht if I remember correctly. The other week we had a 3L bag of Mont Clair and it was rubbish so I wasn't expecting much, but mrs Esco and I both agreed its pretty decent considering its low end price for the local market. Not something I would normally serve guests other than riff raff like @tommy dee but I would consider this a regular, casual table wine.

  30. I bought a leather coat from Debenhams in the sales. Pre-sale price was £495 but I got it for just £25. It's supposed to be slightly imperfect but I've had a good look all over and the only thing I can find is that one of the sleeves is slightly longer than the other two.🤣
