coxyhog
My weight is about the same.I've got some weights & a sit-up board but as said before it's no substitute for a proper gym and I struggle to get the motivation,at least in the gym there's some eye candy. Walking lots but when with the missus I have to stick to her pace which for me is slow, when on my own I go up the hills at a good pace & really work the old ticker. Eating the same which is too much & definitely putting away too much booze.
Painter
I rarely drink, and there's been no change there, despite every morning seeing an unopened bottle of gin and box of cans of tonic, and thinking "I'll have a g+t tonight"... then promptly forgetting! I'm doing my daily 3 miles a day, often twice as the weather is so good. However, my weight has gone up a couple of kg... I'm bored, so I'm baking a lot.... and living alone I'm having to eat what I bake.... I blame YouTube for giving me suggestions... Mentally, I'm missing conversations with friends over coffee.... the internet isnt the same. And I agree with @Britboy.... I do talk some shit to myself at times....!

Alcohol isn't an issue and I've had 1 beer at home in the 2 months this shit has been going on. Fitness wise things have been bad, I used to go to the gym nearly everyday but again because of this shit they were closed and I used to do a fair bit of walking and swimming but now I seem to have lost the motivation to go out walking. Mentally I'll own up and say I'm suffering a lot and not enjoying life at all, I liked to be able to go out for a drink and a game of pool with mates a couple of times a week but that's obviously gone now, as I said above I used to go to the gym and I really enjoyed it there and pushed myself on the weights but again that's gone too now. Now I find that apart from going out to buy food I'm staying in my house just watching Youtube and anything decent that I read about that I can download. I'm sleeping way more than I used too and also smoking way more. All in all me and solitude don't go well together as I've always been someone that likes to keep busy and occupied. I had planned on going down to Soi Buakhow market today to get some BBQ pork but the way I feel now I'll probably leave it until Friday. Worst thing you can do is isolate, mate. Go down Soi Baukhow, whether to get food or not. You'll feel better, mentally and physically, no matter if you have too force yourself. Indeed if you do have to force yourself, it's even more important to do it. 1

I did go in the end and it was a straight in and out job at the market and Friendship. It was really quiet at the market, a lot quieter than previous visits there. Now 74 days since I was out for a drink and I've had 1 beer at home in that time. If it wasn't for the fact that the UK seems as screwed up as this place I'd be heading home. EDIT. Oh and I meant to say that it's good to see you posting again. Edited May 28, 2020 by mrcharliemofo

Yea, honestly, sitting isolating just listening to your own nut does you no good at all. Get out, go for walks, whatever. And cheers!
john1000
Steady with my weight but the garden has kept me fit. Lumping rocks for a new project. Problem, I get tired more easily so try and set a modest goal and if I exceed that, its a bonus more mentally than anything else.
Krapow
We got an internal work email on Friday originating from the Samaritans saying there was no rise in suicides from lockdown, as least in the UK, and be wary of media sensationalising stuff. Surprised me, but it was from the Samaritans.
Krapow
Continuing my home workouts, well, outside, but 'home', helps me so much mentally and physically. Just did one. Though still delighted to hear the gyms opening up July.

Gotta deforest those gnarly minges first then slip on the X2Us and flash the camel. And that's just the blokes. Jambo
I have lost weight in overall terms but put some back on for some reason in the last week or so. I am doing things to try to keep busy but it is hard work for me to keep motivated. It has been so consistently hot and humid that doing anything physical outside after about 11:00am is almost a non-starter. I am finding these Covid19 instigated restrictions are really getting to me now particularly now that I am mostly up here in Mae Sot. I know I am getting irritable but I am bored and missing friends down south. We are visiting our house in Bangsaray from Sunday for a week but if anything there are even more restrictions in Pattaya so I am not going to be able to socialise as I would wish. I was looking forward to my Daughters and Grandaughter visiting. They have rearranged their flights through KLM for the 26th August but I am very pessimistic about that actually happening for several reasons. That is the last possible date they could make this year. It is all very depressing.

I had planned on going down to Soi Buakhow market today to get some BBQ pork but the way I feel now I'll probably leave it until Friday. Thanks for being so honest Mr Charlie. I have suffered from depression in the past and the biggest monster I had to face was isolation. The more I isolated the more I wanted and the more I got the deeper into the depression I went. It's a monster that feeds upon itself. And the funny part was that I didnt even know it at the time. What i had to do was to force myself to become active rather than sedentary. I turned off the tv and internet. I cleaned the house. I forced myself to call more people... I told them the truth... that I was going nuts sitting at home and that I needed to talk to real people... some did know how deal with it and freaked out and others were more than happy to help. I had to force myself to go outside and do things... anything. It started with walks around the block and turned into 3 to 4 hour walks with stops at coffee cafes and restaurants for breakfast. It was difficult at first but I knew I couldnt stay any longer in that comfortable little hole that I had dug for myself either. Once again thanks for being so honest in your post. Hope this helps. 7
