I've spent the last hour cross referencing parts, part numbers and it looks to be unobtainable. Means that I'll need to use a standalone Ignition ECU. It's not my car, I'm just doing a job for the person who owns it.

My next option is to pass by a local electronics shop and see if they can suggest a PCB that can be used, or maybe one they can cross ref using some details of it that i've missed.

I went to the gym earlier, did some bag and pad work, trouble is my arms and hands are now too shakey to start buggering about with it again lol.

Sounds like you have a plan. I predict you will eventually get it sorted. One of those little challenges that arise from time to time, and can end up like looking for a needle in a haystack. But, if you take the right approach (which you are) it becomes a learning experience. It can also be a "come to jesus" moment when you discover a solution.

I have always shied away from punching bag sort of stuff, especially as we age it can cause too much stress on tendons and potential for injury. Not worth it IMO.

If I was going to work on a bag I'd use palm strikes (heel of the hand) and elbow blows. Can be much safer regarding training, and if ever actually needed in a self defense situation can cause much greater impact on an attacker (the strikes come from a different angle than what most attackers are expecting). You can shatter a guys jaw if you connect well, and he will drop like a sack of potatoes. Or, you can put his nose through his brain. And a well connected elbow blow can be devestating. Just be careful, because if you hit them too hard you can kill the bastard.

Just came back from a 2 hour walk up the ridge behind my house. Was up there with wife, so it took a little longer than normal. Both of us enjoyed ourselves although Porn doesn't normally do walks, she prefers gym and Zumba class.

Enjoyed the views of the Bristol Channel and North Devon.

Feel good after having my shower.

The second pic is especially brill. Looks like the heavans are opening up for you (figurartively of course). Nice one.

From a gizzled Yanks perspective.... Looking at pics such as the ones you posted is more than just appreciation for the beauty of the lands. It is the recognition and appreciation for the history which has evolved over centuries (good and bad).

It's nice to be able to get up on a height of land so close to where you live - nothing like a nice view on a nice day.

You could always pile the snow higher by your place. :default_biggrin:

Edited to add: Speaking of piling the snow higher. My son who lives in Wisconsin sent me this picture of the family standing on a 20ft high mound made from snow cleared from the neighborhood streets.

That brings back fond memories of playing on the snow mounds they'd leave for pickup in the big parking lots on the way to and from school when we were small...

Normally up there 3 times a week, but we have had so much rain before this cold spell that it had been about 6 weeks since I have achieved that walk.

It is a lovely walk with wonderful views over nearby Swansea, Mumbles and Neath Port Talbot steel works. The land across the water is from Minehead in Somerset to Ilfracombe in Devon and can be seen most days when the weather is clear.

Get to see a few dog walkers on the way up but they are restricted once they hit the farm gates to the ridge. Just a few walkers, loads of sheep and a few cows and the great view on the top.

The ridge is called Mynydd Drumau.

I remember when I was about 10. We got hit with the biggest snow storm I have ever experienced (55 year later, nothing has been that big). I can't remember how many inches we got but drifts up to the second story rooms.

We built some incredible snow forts and tunnels.

Remember going to the grocery store (Kroger) with my mom. We took my sled with us because the roads were impassable.

I have met up with a promising candidate for my new gang (Isaan Chapter) ..

She is 18 months old and I knew she'd be a good founder member when my new lady gave her 100 Baht she immediately stuffed it down the front of her nappy !!!

She has already dropped me in the shit too. I let her have a pen which apparently writes on tiled floors. My new lady runs a tight ship so she wasn't too pleased !!!

I'd hold off on giving her the tube of super glue.

Almost forgot it's that time of year again to start working on my 2023 tax return. I can't be bothered doing the return by hand, so as in years past I paid for and downloaded H&R Block Tax Software Deluxe ($24.99) to handle the tedious chore of making sure the amounts go on the correct lines and any tax owed is computing correctly.

@rajs123 I misremembered when I said it was Taxact that I used. Gave up on that one years ago.

While waiting for my tax software to download I had a look at why my left hearing aid wasn't working. Once I put my reading glasses on I could see the problem was the dome had a fair amount of wax build up. No problem says I, I'll just replace the clogged dome.

Dug around for a bit on my storage shelf and found the kit with the replacement domes. Pulled the old one off and placed the new one on. I noticed it looked a bit different from the one still on the right side, but thought close enough.

Right away when I placed it in my ear I could tell the fit was different, so took it off and had an "oh shit" moment. The replacement dome was gone, and it hadn't fallen on the floor, so only one place it could still be.

What happened is I had found the replacement kit for another set of hearing aids I had tossed years ago. Because the fit wasn't matched to my new set the dome was now lodged firmly in my ear canal.

But luck was with me and my lady was home, so no need to go to a clinic to remove the sucker. With a strong light and a long tweezers she managed to pull the stuck dome out. Happy ear, happy me.

Edited to add: Think I should have posted this in Stupid Human Tricks. :default_biggrin:

Was about to accuse my sports book of robbing me on this hand, now I realized before you lodge a complaint be 110% sure…..with 2 pair on the board my deuces didn’t play anymore……

Big night ahead, juicy tournaments, sports punting NHL/NBA/Aussie Open, Netflix, and my Oilers are looking for their 12th win in a row…..in an 82-game season that is very rare

In Departures at Phuket Airport.

Viet jet have been a pain cancelling flights and moving me.

2 of their flights this afternoon have been cancelled, but fortunately mine being slightly later is still OK.

Guess they moved the passengers from those onto mine.

Any particular reason ?

Patong is so busy right now, they can earn more money staying local. About 15 drivers accepted my ride, then rejected it when they realised it was to the airport.

Then bolt app raised the price 100b and still got rejected.

Finally I got accepted by a mini van lady that wasn't local, she dropping off 15 minutes down the coast.

Ended up paying 700 baht for a 450b ride and that included a 100b discount voucher.

I had plenty of time so waiting 30 minutes for a ride wasn't a problem.
