Horizondave Posted June 26, 2019 Share Posted June 26, 2019 (edited) Not really into bringing politics into this section but when I have been watching both the BBC and especially that horrible Kay Burley on Sky of late there seems to be an over zealous need to know about when a photo of Boris Johnson and his girlfriend was taken as if it is the most important thing in the world. It has made me turn off the news and moved to watch a movie. I have also been on Facebook and there are a couple of friends of mine who are constantly digging at anything our government does or stands for. I am a wanker for even previously voting Tory according to them and others although I won't be voting for any of them again. The hatred shown by even a cousin of mine has made me bite my tongue and I worry about who it is who is trying to split our great nation. Oh yes, of course these same people have never questioned pictures and meetings of Jeremy Corbyn with IRA terrorists, revolutionaries, Marxists , anti Semites and many other unsavory characters. Of course even some of our supposedly moderate politicians have made mistakes and been filmed with those proven later to not be our friends but give me a break, Boris and his girlfriend sitting in a bloody field and the newspapers and media report it as if WW3 has just broken out. I really don't get it. This post is just a personal rant at what is passing for news on my TV, no need for replies as this would be the wrong section for it. Nothing dodgy but just a genuine need to have an update on my recovery and to discuss how I wish to start back at work and what duties I will be able to perform when I go back towards the end of August. Porn also got a call from a Whitbread Hotel nearby asking her to go for interview on Monday. It's a housekeeping job but paying minimum legal wages with a good benefits package which I would expect from a large company such as Whitbread.
