I learned that there are non dimmer and dimmer light bulbs, I had put a non dimmer in my dimmer socket, I need to read the small print on the side of the box next time. Today is the day of the "Race that stops a nation" the Melbourne cup. Decided to take today off and will go to the pub for lunch with the missus and then have a few drinks and bets watching the great race. Not really an issue as Friday was my normal day off so I will work that day and just have today as my rostered day off.
