Have to check in 4 hours before flight and I've got 4 folders worth of paperwork I feel more like an accountant than someone going on holiday. In all honesty if you are travelling as a family it's a hell of a lot of messing about so be prepared at the moment. Hopefully that will all disappear on arrival.. Will let everyone know. Fancy Spain or Portugal for a fortnight, need a bit of sun. 😀 Hoping all the hassle is worth it and you have a blinding time. It has been the first day of rest for a while for me as have been concentrating on preparing and uploading documents for Porn's family visa application. Went to Cardiff yesterday for Porn to get her biometrics done and confirm the documents etc are in order. That was actually a very enjoyable trip and Andrew at the Visa service was really helpful, says all our documents are well put together and now just need to wait for her new Biometric Residents Permit. Don't even take away the passport now and all documents must be uploaded online as part of the process. The only annoying thing is the near £3000 it costs for the visa and extra charges. Cheers lads Quick update... Flight boarding time been delayed by an hour they nearly refused us entry , because the PCR goes longer than 72 hours my arse nearly fell off. One women wanted to refuse us so I had to ask for the person in charge and they let us through (literally 30 mins difference WTF) Waiting for the first flight at the gate now... Got our final total, just needs to be looked at by a solicitor then wait for February 28th to come. Done alright out of it, getting the equivalent of about 16 months take home salary, so I ain't gonna be in no hurry to get back working. Gonna chill for a month or two then maybe get a part time job through the summer and get a full time job about October. Still on the plane in Manchester delayed till I don't know when .. Will prob miss the connector in Qatar / Doha and the PCR will be out of date now . It's 16.08 was meant to be flying at 13.35 .. What a day 🙈 The pcr is 72 hours from eticket flight time, they can take off late, it doesn't effect it. We left over 3 hours late and missed the connection. Qatar seem to be fucking this up daily.
