I’d take that over our weather, apart from the occasional day, it’s been pretty shit.

Nearly end of April and still hoodie and jacket weather.

40 degrees plus in unhealthy air is punishing.

Definitely better off here mate at the moment!

I like the heat, should have been born in Spain or Portugal. Love England but not it’s climate.

So do I mate, but anything above body temperature will kill you with long exposure!

Combined with the humidity the heat index (feels like) was 54°C. Maybe not so enjoyable.

I would hate it and be spending as much time as possible in an Aircon environment . I hate being covered in sweat. I remember a few years ago, I was out in May, and temperatures went off the scale for about 5 days and having 4 showers a day or more.

I can handle the heat once I am out in it, but need shade breaks worked in.

It is the combination of the heat and smoke that keeps me indoors with the AC blasting 24/7. Although I have to say we are finally getting some rain up here.

I've been hearing thunder throughout the day, which is like music to my ears.

And here in northern Canada, after finally getting into the double digits with two perfectly lovely days the rain and clouds have come back and we are forecast for snow again tonight and tomorrow - it won't last long if it does fall but it's still a pain in the ass to deal with in the meantime and we all just want the snow to be gone.

Time for you to become a proper snowbird , and only go back when it's finished.... ?

That's my plan for this winter - leave early/mid-January and not return until early May - I've done it a couple of times before and it was great...

Saw an older gentlemen in the parking garage after my work out yesterday, he seemed to be walking kind of sideways holding on to cars as he attempted to get to his. He did not speak any English, I called over to another guy very close to us and he spoke with him. He told the guy that he was currently undergoing "Chemo" treatments??

Jesus he should be no where near outside right now, especially in a  parking garage where it must have been 105 degrees at best.

Yea the humidity is brutal right now . Been doing my beach walks earlier but that’s not helping . A good rain might help clean out the shit .

Sounds like he was in no shape to be driving a car.

Sai just sent me a photo of the current temperature reading up in Mae Sot....................... 40c (104f)

I returned the compliment and sent the current  temperature here in Scotland................... 1.1c (34f)

It was always the humidity that I couldn't take.

There will be smoke pollution as well.

There were violent winds in that area of north west Thailand at the weekend. Bad enough to cause structural damage.

Good job with stepping up and helping the dude out. The World needs more folks who have the balls to help someone out and not be intimidated by the "what ifs".

The medical staff must have dropped the ball and failed to make sure that he had proper escort following the treatment. Either that or he bullshitted them saying he had someone and tried to do it on his own.

Medical clinics are good at telling you that you need to have someone take you home, etc. following a procedure. But, they are shit at helping provide resources for those who may not have friends or relatives who can assist them with such things.

Something they need to improve on, and I think is an important/ overlooked aspect of patient care. Actually pisses me off.

I paid privately for physio after I fractured my elbow as I had NHS physio not so long ago for bad knees that consisted of a telephone consultation with an African who I could barely understand.

The physio couldn't believe that I had no follow up appointment with a quack. She said her friend had just got the plaster off a broken wrist & was told by the good old NHS here in the UK that there was a 19 week waiting list for physio treatment.
