Also if you have been there in the last 14 days, no entry to Turkey. If you have a residency permit, you have to get tested on arrival, and even if negative, you still have to self isolate or full quarantine for 14 days. It'll not be just Thailand and Turkey doing it ... On 3/5/2020 at 1:09 PM, Krapow said: Just read Indonesia doing something similar as well, though fewer countries. Think Italy is one of them. Russia now potentially going down the '14 days compulsory self isolation'. Comply or you'll be made to comply! UK on the list 😵 'there are reports in Russia, citing official sources, that the UK will be added to a list of countries which already includes China, South Korea, Italy, Iran, France, Germany and Spain - for which special measures apply. The advice also states that passengers may be asked to sign a document agreeing to self-isolate. It says that in "a small number of cases" foreign visitors have been placed in enforced quarantine if they do not comply'.

Evil Penevil
Should the number of foreign tourists to Thailand fall precipitously for several months straight and fail to pick up during low season, the bars of Pattaya are indeed in for the bumpiest of rides. For years, the Pattaya bar sector has suffered from massive over-establishment and the COVID-19 outbreak could spark the shakeout that restores the balance between supply and demand. However, it's still premature for dire predictions as too little is known about the spread of COVID-19. According to an expert I heard last night on U.S. TV, two big questions remain: 1) How significant is asymptomatic transmission of COVID-19? That is, can people who show no signs of infection pass the virus to others?; and 2) Can people who have recovered from the disease become re-infected within a short period of time? Nearly all people who recover from flu-like viruses develop natural immunity that lasts at least 12 to 24 months, with many acquiring life-long immunity. It's still not certain this is the case with COVID-19. If people can be re-infected and large numbers don't acquire natural immunity, then COVID-19 could be worse and last longer than earlier outbreaks of corona viruses, but there's no reason right now to believe that will be the case. The expert also said that 80% of those infected so far with COVID-19 show only mild symptoms that are no worse than the "ordinary" flu. It's still the elderly and those with underlying health conditions that are at most risk from COVID-19. Stillearly
From a few days ago ... 😉 " It was recently reported that 86 clients from a brothel in Valencia, Spain have recently been put under quarantine after one prostitute tested positive for the coronavirus. According to police reports, the lady of the night had slept with several of the guests on the same evening, inadvertently spreading the virus. With club owners, security and cleaning staff, waiters, other girls and clients, the total under quarantine tops out at about 119 people. This is bad enough, but authorities are also worried that the partners some of the quarantined men may be paying the brothel a visit to get some answers. 1

Although a history of smoking is not considered one of the preexisting conditions that define those who are most vulnerable to the virus, it is a serious factor, Mayor Bill de Blasio said at a Sunday press conference. Evil Penevil
Despite complaints about old and grumpy stewardesses, United has very flexible rules about changing flight plans due to the coronavirus. There are specific rules about changing flights to/from Wuhan and other points in China; Hong Kong; Seoul; and Italy. From the Web site of United Airlines: No change fees for new bookings We know people are taking a second look at their travel plans right now, and we want you to have flexibility when planning your next trip — that's why when you book a flight with us between March 3 and March 31, 2020, you can change it for free over the next 12 months. Terms and conditions Tickets: For tickets issued March 3 through March 31, 2020, customers will be permitted to change free of charge to a flight of equal or lesser value up to 12 months from the original ticket issue date. If the new flight is priced higher, the customer may change for no fee but must pay the fare difference. If the new flight is priced lower, the customer may change for free but no residual value will be given. If the customer decides to cancel their flight, they can retain the value of the ticket to be applied to a new ticket without fee for travel up to 12 months from the original ticket issue date. Cancellations: If the customer decides to cancel the flight they booked between March 3 and March 31, 2020, they can retain the value of the ticket to be applied to a new ticket without fee for travel up to 12 months from the original ticket issue date. Fare Validity: This applies to all tickets, all fare types, all destinations, all points-of-sale, all travel dates available for sale, provided ticket number starts with 016. Minimum Stay: No minimum stay. Blackout Dates: No blackout dates. Miscellaneous: Fares, fees, rules and offers are subject to change without notice. Seats are capacity-controlled and may not be available on all flights or days.

Well, in my (stupid) opinion, if you are SURE there is a risk you close down ALL the people gathering places. Airports, stations, library, stadiums, concerts, public transport, pub, restaurants etc... But letting the restaurants open during restricted hours on condition that people sit 1 m apart is absolute bollocks ..... WTF, the virus is on leave from 06.00 to 18.00 ? Of course closing everything down is not possible, and not enforcable in a normal western country, but still governments have to show they care about it and do something. And hell "dont shake hands anymore". Anybody who turns down my handshake go on the "banned" list for life. And the media is making a killing of the whole story. Strange that not any journalist was infected yet, and not any newspaper office quarantined ? 1
