Down I think, but hardly a reliable number as long as not everyone gets tested is it? Hospitalizations and deaths the more reliable stats imo.

Unfortunately the trend is still up in the number of new cases. It would be useful information if they also published the number of tests/million population.

Gas near me is now 0.89 cents per gallon or 0.235 cents per liter or about 7 baht per liter. This is crazy.a3b4bfdeedf864c64bbdb277e9e29afa.jpg

89 cents a gallon was what I was paying in 1986--  34 years ago.....I remember because I had a delivery job and had to buy my own gas....

And the funny thing is I thought gas was cheap then.....

I have got to say I have no problem staying at home and keeping myself busy, entertained and with exercise. Porn is having more difficulty and she is missing her family more than normal which I fully understand.  The little one is occupied with games and the homework set by her school.

Looking at the struggles some may be having in Thailand and other places I am happy to be in the UK and just thankful that my heart operation was in May last year, almost more thankful that my wife, Porn, got her visa in March last year and was able to arrive freely in the April. With all visas on hold and some operations being cancelled I have to start believing in a little lady luck.

I am still working and getting full pay, the wife getting 80 percent for the foreseeable future so we should be OK as long as this virus doesn't interrupt our lives.

Great stuff mate.

Your health is most important. A little Brucie bonus in this climate that your working on full pay. The wife and wee one are doing grand.

What more can you ask for?

🙏

Third day in a row the number of new cases in Spain has fallen. Slight positive.

The count for the 29th hasn't finished yet, so currently only see two days of a decline in new cases. But hopefully the 29th will be lower than yesterday's count.

What's interesting to note, and a completely unscientific observation, is for several of the countries that I checked that have seen a decline in new cases or leveling off, it seems to be around the 16 day mark after they entered the exponential growth phase. Might have something to do with countries getting serious at that point and enacting strict measures to contain the spread.

So at a cost £5.8 million Boris has sent a letter with an information leaflet to all UK homes. Just who in their right mind thought that was a good idea.

I think the justification is that it will reach more elderly people. Surely they could have gotten volunteers or army boys to ring round the elderly and explain to them, would have given many elderly and isolated people someone to speak with.

From what I can tell he's not saying anything he hasn't already said. Waste of money as far as I'm concerned.

If they are saying it in several different languages, it is a good idea. Quite a few of the E. Europeans around my way don't seem to have grasped the social distancing concept.
