If they are saying it in several different languages, it is a good idea. Quite a few of the E. Europeans around my way don't seem to have grasped the social distancing concept.

There's a couple of Eastern European girls in my street I'd happily break the social distancing rules with. 😀

Unfortunately the trend is still up in the number of new cases. It would be useful information if they also published the number of tests/million population.

I just checked and the number of new confirmed cases is actually on a downward trend since Friday, but we did have a spike in casualties again the past reported 24 hours.

Domestic travel ban starting slowly here.

https://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2020/03/29/covid-19-jakarta-to-suspend-interprovincial-buses-as-mudik-persists.html

The Miss still at the jungle house, but plan to travel back to Bali Tuesday morning. Bloody one week I am telling her this was coming...

Plenty discussion on forums about the potential reaction of the population on this. People lost their job, no income, can not travel home .... Add the religious part to it, government will have to handle this delicately and make sure to have the religious leaders on their side.

Here is a WHO chief refusing to answer why they will not permit Taiwan entry to the organisation. Taiwan being a sovereign democratic state. There are strong suspicions that Tedros and the WHO were paid by the Chinese in February to say they had the situation 'under control'. This makes me deeply suspicious.

For anybody that says this is just conspiracy theorist garbage. Yeah, remember when everyone called out Russia and Qatar buying off FIFA to host their respective world cups.

If you can't identify the beneficiaries then it's just conspiracy theorist garbage!

‘Thousands of People Will Pass Away,’ Cuomo Warns

I checked departures from NY(the US hotspot for the lurg) to LHR & there are five flights scheduled for this evening.

When we first got the UK citizens back from Wuhan they were quarantined for 14 days....what about all the folks on these flights?

The Chinese are seriously vetting all arrivals for the lurg and not allowing any foreigners in....& they seem to be getting on top of it.

Just a thought from someone sitting anxiously at home in the UK.

they should be escorted to selected hotel for enforced quarantine for 14 days...madness to do otherwise

half of all cases in NYC are under 50 years and this virus is mutating

Society starting to break down a bit in Southern Italy.

Have watched news clips of people there screaming at the Police they have no money, no food, no help.

Now organised social disorder/criminality/revolt/necessity, whatever you want to call it, where people have organised themselves as a group and went into supermarkets and just took what they need etc.

No checks on arrival for passengers arriving at Heathrow. Passengers are being allowed to disembark as normal.

that goes for all arrivals from all countries.

NEW YORK is falling ?

Really, why not post the same type of articles on Brussels, Paris, Berlin, etc......    Papers all over the world are full of this stuff now.

And concerning our US BM, I guess they read the papers at home ?

Don't feed the panic....

That's a rare case. The fatality rate for those under 50 is ridiculously low. The cure is worse than the disease. Shutting down the entire economy and society is going to be worse in the long run. Watch the rates of alcoholism, drug abuse, suicide, domestic violence sky rocket. South Korea which has had the most success in tackling this did not behave the way we have.

Germany are dealing with this so well they're actually taking patients from Northern Italy.

Maybe  this is the explanation ...

Germany also took some from the Alsace region, where we have a high number of cases. Others were redispatched (by air) to other towns where atm there are less cases.

Mate of mine was due off an Eva flight at Heathrow tonight from LOS after his Friday flight was cancelled to Manchester with Emirates...

His phone isn't on and I know the plane has landed ..

He has to hire a car to get back to the NW tonight I cant even imagine 🙈

He may have been quarantined, because it's not like him to not switch it on .
