Got home about an hour ago from spending the afternoon with my sister. Had a little picnic over the park by her home. Jan can’t eat much but it’s just about spending time with her as the clock is running down with how much time I have with her.

Watching the NBA finals. Denver about to take a stranglehold 3-1 but their best player Jokic has to sit with 5 fouls & 10 minutes left

Hey buddy, great series so far, if you like Denver huh? Which I do...will be happy when Jokic gets a championship. Hey....Aaron Gordon, San Jose boy, went to Mitty High School locally. Having a great series too.

Denver all the way! I laugh whenever Murray shoots, because my sister, as infrequently as I see her, always talks about her idiot co-worker Jamal. No offence, but it’s clear Canada has A/A policy too 😬

Anyway, back home to Denver should be a cinch to clinch.

I don’t know what it is, but since the millenium I watch very little NBA or MLB. It just doesn’t grab me like NFL does….golf #2 then NHL #3

Now if the Viet coffee ladies start a league….all bets are off

Trying to figure out how I am using the Wi-Fi when the Internet connection says 'no connection' and Norton antivirus keeps telling me to turn on Wi-Fi.  My Virgin set up says 'secured, no internet' yet the family are all using their devices and the router looks fine.

The symbol at the bottom is the Globe rather than the normal Wi-Fi symbol that is usually there. I hover the cursor over the Globe and it says 'no internet access, connections available'. All very weird as I am using the Wi-Fi to write this and view the forum.

I get the Globe icon when the fibre connection goes down and the ethernet connection from the router to my computer is no longer providing an internet connection. The computer will then automatically switch to Wi-Fi, if it's turned on, to maintain the connection to the internet.

I had noticed a few ants last night around an area that has my CCTV NVR and a spare laptop running Qbittorrent, so gave it a quick spray of ant killer. This morning the area was covered with dead ants and what looked like an entire ant colony still alive and kicking, trekking into and out the NVR.

No idea why the ant's favored the NVR for a nest, but just spent more time with judicious sprays of ant killer into the NVR to finish the rest of the colony. Now I have a mounds of dead ants to vacuum up.

Saw one of these USB Type-C magnetic cables come up on Lazada's promo page and thought what a great idea. My order just arrived and it works as advertised.

What I like about it is I can leave the small magnetic connector plugged into each of my Type-C devices. What that does is save wear and tear on the connection port as the repeated plugging and unplugging of the regular charge cable can, and does wear out the port over time.

The damn ants are back, or rather they never left. Just finished pulling the NVR cover to get at the ones that were making a last stand.

Always remember the half eaten cookie I left on my desk in Chiang Mai in 2009, when I had a sore throat & couldn’t swallow much.

I learned the next morning, eat it ASAP, fridge, or throw away…….had an army of them on my cookie

I've just had a poo !!!

Ordinarily I wouldn't have announced such a thing but it means that the most important part of my body clock is back on Thai Time on my first morning back!!! (Albeit about 47 minutes after my usual poo-time !!!)

Welcome back to Thailand Mr. Regular.

Now enjoying the cool air from the new A/C just installed in my home office. The old one's blower motor was making quite a racket so figured it was time to replace the old A/C unit with a new, more energy efficient, dual inverter A/C. And wow, is it quiet compared to the old one. Can barely tell it's on.

First day back from Canada yesterday, didn't sleep on the flight, so went straight down the pub to celebrate my mates 69th birthday to stay awake.

Slept 13 hours last night, but it meant I woke up at 11am this morning.

Been catching up with payments and internet stuff most of the day.

Went out for a walk this evening to enjoy the back end of a very hot day.

Now watching some recorded TV and it's 2am.

Not feeling very tired so will be interesting whether I can get back into my time zone quickly or not.

I spent nearly 3 weeks spending most days in a beer garden in glorious weather in the South of England and I am really having a problem re-adapting to my life here from a life with a fantastic selection of excellent draught beers in a real Free House pub, the sociability of the people surrounding me and "hot" weather that is comfortable to sit outside in...

Shooting too...poor Belgian man with 90 Day overstay...Very very sad to hear ..

Happens much more than is reported. Same with jumpers.

Hard to keep track of it now with the "jumpers" thread gone. No doubt they still happen on a regular basis.

Left Neath, Wales at 5am to travel to Heathrow Premier Inn, have had breakfast and will soon head into London for Porn to get a visa for Greece.

Little sightseeing before her appointment at 1.30 and hopefully back at Heathrow around 4.30 to pick up car and head back to Wales.

Hope all goes smoothly, also looking forward to many hours sleeping tonight.

You timed it well, really nice here when we get the weather, only problem is it is usually pissing it down and cold for the most part.

Glad you enjoyed your holiday.

Ended up going to bed around 3am and sleeping until 11 again. Feel good after another solid 8 hours sleep.

My body catching up. Hopefully I will feel tired enough to sleep a bit earlier tonight. Don't like missing half the day to do stuff.

Off into Cardiff city centre with the Missus, we both have eye test appointments at Specsavers. They have been texting me every week for 3 months reminding me it`s 2 years since my last check up, for my wife it will be her first ever eye test, she will need reading glasses I think. We will hopefully find somewhere for a bit of al fresco grub on our travels.
