  1. I got an offer to sell my software ( trademarks and all ) business to Panasonic ... They bought from me MEMS ( Medical Equipment Management System ) about 4 years ago which was another pretty comprehensive software app This time I am selling them . A Vaccination Analysis and Diabetes Protocol Management System developed in a huge data warehouse and an elegant UI ( User Interface ) . which is deployed in 28 hospitals here in Thailand The only thing left to do is guarantee the people that work for me a 5 year employment contract with guaranteed salaries .. which I am sure that they will do I gotta figure out what to do next . because I am a class A hyper type of person . I don't have something to do . I can get into serious trouble . and I don't need trouble with Beach gal and Ziggy ( with another one on the way ) . it has never been about money with me . it is the challenge that I need . even though there is some serious money involved . I gotta . cowboy up quick . I think I will stay in the hospital arena , there is a shit load of new software solutions to develop . plus, I have a shit load of contacts Or maybe . I just try to stay home . ride my Harley . give Beach gal and Ziggy all of my energy . which could be an overdose for the both of them . LOL . LOL . LOL I gotta think about what is next .

  6. Tried the Moo gata, 399 THB for a set. Added later a portion of gung for 150 THB. Large Leo 120 THB. Nice, the prawns very fresh, prices above other Moo gata places, but ok for the beach location. Somehow they have to earn the yearly rent of 450k THB.

  8. Expedited access for COVID-19 related IP The COVID-19 pandemic demands an urgent and unprecedented response. University research and expertise is critical to this effort, and OUI is supporting a growing number of projects from Oxford University involving IP and technology that could help address the current pandemic. These include vaccines, rapid diagnostics, ventilators, therapeutics and remote monitoring technology. The following guidance explains how we approach licensing COVID-19 related IP to 3rd parties in these exceptional circumstances. Guidance for organisations seeking to licence or otherwise access University of Oxford IP relevant to the COVID-19 pandemic OU and OUI will expedite access to Oxford IP to enable global deployment at scale of associated products and services to address the COVID-19 pandemic The default approach of the University and OUI regarding (1) will be to offer non-exclusive, royalty-free licences to support free of charge, at-cost or cost + limited margin supply as appropriate, and only for the duration of the pandemic, as defined by the WHO Licence terms for supplying downstream (post-pandemic) commercial markets will be the subject of a separate agreement The grant to a Licensee of access to IP under (1) does not guarantee it will be granted downstream commercial rights Where relevant University IP is licensed to support commercial sales after the point at which the pandemic is declared by the WHO (or other appropriate body) to be over, such licences will carry appropriate financial terms to allow the University to reinvest proceeds in research and teaching. The University and Oxford University Innovation Ltd will wherever possible adhere to the above principles, subject to our obligations to 3rd party funders and to cases where the overarching principle (1) can only be achieved by a different approach. All licences granted under these principles will preserve the University’s academic research freedoms to publish and use the IP for teaching and research purposes. https://innovation.ox.ac.uk/technologies-available/technology-licensing/expedited-access-covid-19-related-ip/

The legends on that pitch saw that Man City play at Arsenal and Upton Park. Thank you so much for that brightened a freezing cold shite day as my boiler had broken down .......

  15. Many of us have seen guys retire with a pocket full of money that seemed like a lot of money at the time. Unfortunately that money has a way of evaporating. What you really need to do is to use that big money one way or another, to set up a guaranteed lifetime income. We have no idea of how long we are going to live. Being old and poor here in Thailand is not the way to enjoy your later years. That said, you don't need to be wealthy but having a reasonable monthly income plus a decent nest egg will allow you to sleep well.

  19. I'm pretty sure that you are correct. The "owner" was a Belgian called Andre, hence the name of the bar. He and his wife/girlfriend split up, and wife/gf took over the running of the bar. However, Andre continued to drink there, and that continued to attract Belgians to the bar.

  20. The majority of the development still going on would have been in the works before covid - particularly major works. Not too many practical options but to complete it. Many giving such projects a lot of thought as to their future prospects though no doubt. In a practical sense though, the issues are - how long will it take to get back to a reasonable sense of normality, on commercial and personal levels, and what Pattaya's future 'normality' is going to be. All unknowable. Pattaya being "far from finished" could mean anything. About all we have is hope. Apart from striving to stay healthy and positive, most other things are well beyond us atm.

  23. Bro .. I have seen you mention " science " ... this whole thing has never been about science ... it is about political power .. and since most ( if not all politicians ) have no direct relationship with the daily reality or the lives of normal .. everyday people .. we see what we get from these fucks .... Even the "science" .. Dr. Fauci for example .. has contradicted himself multiple time on multiple issues ... lol .. even the WHO and CDC ... if this was purely about "science" there would be clear and precise answers ... in every phase of this entire cluster f**k The politicians are "milking" this for every inch of every mile ... this whole thing has become totally politicized .. and this accounts for the total ambiguity .. the fear ....

  27. Congratulations Code. I've always maintained if you enjoy your work and produce the best possible product, the bottom line will take care of itself and people will beat a path to your door. Seems like you're living and working by the same philosophy. The beauty of our line of work is there are no shortage of opportunities to apply our skillset for coming up with solutions. Just have to keep your eyes open to spot the opportunities which by your comment "there is a shit load of new software solutions to develop" tells me you are. Also sounds like you have a great balance between work and life. Keep living the dream.

I will always make the correct decision for my family . for sure! I made my own luck! Seeing this super beautiful gal siting on the beach in Koi Lipe with her 2 sisters and brother . 29. Nothing is static in a pandemic...have to be willing to admit and accept mistakes and move on. Fauci is still a good resource IMO. I double layer masks now when I am indoors in public (mainly food shopping) -- one KN95 & one double layer fabric. . . . Double masking is likely more effective to stop spread of Covid-19, Fauci says Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said on Monday that wearing two masks is likely more effective to stop the spread of Covid-19. When asked about whether double masking or using an N95 mask makes a difference, Fauci told NBC’s Savannah Guthrie that it likely does. “Because, I mean, this is a physical covering to prevent droplets and virus to get in,” Fauci said. “So, if you have a physical covering with one layer, you put another layer on, it just makes common sense that it likely would be more effective and that’s the reason why you see people either double masking or doing a version of an N95.” The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends people wear masks in public settings and anywhere they will be around other people, and says people should wear masks that have two or more layers of fabric that fit snugly over the nose and mouth. https://edition.cnn.com/world/live-news/coronavirus-pandemic-vaccine-updates-01-25-21/h_1aa84ea701c603797dd70fab89274c94

  30. I've no idea how they ascertain the "cost price", but we are able to see the matter in the context of what is being charged. Exact figures will depend on things like quantity ordered, but approximate figures for cost per dose are: Moderna $35 Pfizer $20 Oxford/AZ $3½ https://www.cnbc.com/2020/11/17/covid-vaccines-how-much-they-cost-whos-bought-them-and-how-theyre-stored.html

  37. I’ve had a couple of frozen/chilled M&S meals in the past, but can’t say I liked them much. We’ve two freezers in the utility room and a third fridge freezer in the kitchen. Much of the room in them is taken up with my wifes Thai stuff, like fish, meats, Chinese pork sausage, Pandan leaves and Thai herbs etc, which she usually gets from an import company who have it flown in to Manchester from Thailand on a Thursday and it’s delivered on Friday morning. The rest of the freezer space is taken up with all sorts of meats, pies, sausages and bacon from my sisters place in The Lakes, which is delivered overnight in a freezer box. Then there’s all sorts of cooked sauces like bolognais etc which my son and I eat. Cornish butter and a couple of small Brown loaves as standbys, plus loads of frozen fruits and puff pastry. Loads of “frozen meals” in there, but they are homemade and are the results of me or the wife batch cooking and freezing them for later.

  39. I have a large chest freezer in my garage which stores my fishing bait and I have a very large upright freezer in my kitchen for my food. Almost all of my food revolves around the freezer. The current veg mix I use is purchased frozen, proven to be as good, if not better than fresh due to blast freeze techniques used now. All of my meat is ordered direct from 2 butchers and delivered to my house free of charge as long as I spend enough. I use 2 because the main big butchers sausages are not as good as a little private one locally. All of this meat is separated up into portions and put straight into the freezer. I was a crap cook, mainly due to past live in girlfrends being great in all the rooms! Since lock down I have been experimenting with food and trying to at least learn enough to provide a varied and healthy diet. Now I batch cook a few meals either in the Wok or slow cooker and portion it up into those plastic containers and put straight into the freezer. I have found by doing this the flavour is much better than eating straight from the pan. It is then a case of taking the next days meal out of the freezer into the fridge so it can be reheated in the microvave and the rice, pasta or veg can be cooked to accompany it. The steak and sausages are thrawed and cooked ''fresh'' if you like either under the grill or in the pan. So to answer the queation, I rely on the freezer masively.
