It's in the mind.  OK ?

But sure at 67 one is closer to the exit than to the entrance... It's not a reason to stop enjoy life.  In fact the opposite, enjoy it even more.

Ok, enough phylosophie, it's about food here.

Up to you but we as a family are making sure our mum at 84 is not at undue risk and we can maintain contact in different ways and she is happy not to put herself out there at risk. I’d like my mum to be around for a few years yet and I’m sure your kids probably think the same about you......

You may not see it but your age makes you high risk I’m afraid mate......

Possibly a higher risk but I think he is still younger than 70 so like me he could be a tad concerned but not in the 'stay at home, play bingo' brigade...

Actually think our friendly Frenchie really doesn't care although he may be a bit more aware of his surroundings presently. Think his jungle hideout might be a safer location than a tourist beach restaurant but it looks pretty deserted most of the time, looks like a nice place to be 'holed up'...

The jungle hide out would kill me because of boredom...

Besides that, Ramadan starts in 3 days with all the additionnal "music" that goes with it...

And yes, staying in a resort in Bali, 10 min from the beach is sure not the worst place to wait out this story. Balinese being rather relaxed people, there isn't this sense of doomsday around. Anyway as you say, the place is pretty well deserted as they depend on tourists, and there are no more arrivals (visa waiver and VOA are suspended since 1 month).

By using taxis (Grab) and restaurant I help the community. I have also seriously increased my tipping. If the  whole expat community did this it would help and it's preferable to charity IMO or handouts.

Now, would I have stayed in Jakarta ? No fecking way....

Wife's first attempt at a banana cake.

Usual drill, me asking, utube tutorial, gets made.

Had just finished reading the child a bedtime story, went into the kitchen, seen the cake, had a bit, logged on to the forum, seen the donation thread, and donated straight away.

We think we have it hard at the moment, but nothing compared to some..

Looks great.

Tried to get plain flour yesterday again, couldn't get it. Ended up taking white bread flour which I was assured was pretty much the same except more protein.
