Horizondave
Just flicking between channels on Free view and landed on channel 16 which is QVC. Totally uninterested in Morphy Richards irons but the nipples sticking out of the dress on one of the ladies is quite appealing. Must be all that steam around the woman. OK, let's see what other channels have to offer, might flick back to 16.

It hadn't been open since I returned from Thailand in September. As a manager, I guess he is on furlough.

tko
I had a bit of a surreal visit to HomePro in Muang Rayong today. When I got there I was stopped at the escalator up to the store and asked what I wanted. They then radioed up, and after a bit sent me up. I was met at the top and escorted to the hardware and then plumbing sections for what I needed. The lights were mostly off and they'd switch them on when we got to the the right aisle. They seemed to have all their staff standing around in various parts of the store, so at least they're being paid. Edit: Our restaurants here are closed, but the MK downstairs at the HomePro building was doing takeaway packs of their duck, so that was lunch. boydeste
Woke up this morning to a warm house again. The engineer turned up yesterday as planned and fitted the new fan, but it wouldn't run. The cooling fan fins for the coil were jammed against the body of the main fan chamber from assembly. He told me it was the last one on the shelf and it would take a few days to order another in, being Saturday afternoon all of the other suppliers closed at lunch time. The unit comes with a 12 months warranty, so the engineer agreed that I could try to fix it and he would still honour the warranty. Having bent all of the offending fins away from the body it was clear that the main fan inside was jammed up too. FFS. What a croc of shite. The fan drum was eccentric so when it rotated it jammed against the coil mounting screws. Fortunately being a croc of shit helped me as the drum was fixed to the shaft with a grub screw which I could just get to. I released the drum and refixed it so that it could spin freely, but it now touched the screws which attached it to the boiler housing. Fortunately I had enough washers to shim the screws allowing free spinning. Thankfully it all went back together and ran nice and quiet and the enginner having now been at my property over 2 hours for a job that should have taken 30 mins agreed to take the cost of the fan to him plus a little cash for him turning up on a Saturday. That saved me a few quid for my efforts! Edited January 18, 2021 by boydeste
