Golfingboy
Didn’t feel like cooking today, and remembered I had few days left of free delivery on DoorDash. Decided on some Chinese from Panda Express, was pretty good actually. Anyway, I’m happy to say I broke the 300 pound barrier. Long way to go still, but like an addict, one day at a time..... 2 1

Horizondave
Not really lunch or dinner but just a picture of an arrival from DHL. £20 for a 1.5 kilos of fresh chillies and £10 for a kilo of lemongrass. Now of course if she hadn't offered to bring stuff back from Thailand for 3 mates which took 15 kilos of Porn's baggage allowance she could have brought all that back for much cheaper. One mother sent Porn 10 kilos of paste for her daughter. Porn says she won't be making that mistake again.

I made the mistake of buying too many pies and when I checked the last box the other day I noticed it should have been eaten before 12 December, well before Christmas. Of course a big freezer would have helped and on that note I have ordered a chest freezer from Currys today.

I have posted above in response to John Luke that I have ordered a chest freezer just today as our frozen section in our fridge/freezer is almost full. Iceland also have some amazing offers regularly but even a simple shop would fill my present freezer or, as happened around Christmas, had to be put in the fridge section which in itself creates another volume problem. Want to buy some frozen fruits as well for smoothies etc so a chest freezer will be ideal. I also believe that it will pay for itself over a 6 month period as buying frozen in bulk with chicken, fish etc will be economically beneficial. My Dad has a chest freezer , used to regularly buy half a cow and fill it up with steaks and roasts when I was a kid ... my Mum had a small notebook where she would record major purchases, we found it the other week , the freezer is 45 years old .. built to last back then 🙂
