I got this letter this morning.  Obviously BT are upgrading the local broadband network.  I have noticed my broadband occasionally showing no internet access and then returning as per normal over the last few weeks.  Most of the time it is working well.  If they are upgrading here it is likely the same is going on throughout the country, so it may not be the fault of your computer or router.

We’ve got a bunch of it where I live in Nottingham, pretty high quality stuff it has to be said. I quite like it as long as it’s tasteful.

In Australia we prefer a slightly larger canvas.

I bought a gazebo kit and had it delivered today. I got the parts shook out, and the posts and frame assembled. Tomorrow, I put the frame on the posts and put together the roof panels. Saturday, I’ll have some help lifting the roof into place and it will be done. Hopefully, it will look like this when finished.CA5854B7-2B4D-4C97-960B-6889131AE046.jpeg

Looking at overcast skies and a howling south wind that is forecast to deliver up to 9cm of snow by tomorrow night - however the temperature is supposed to rise to 4C by Sunday and 10C by Wednesday so I do believe this will be winter's dying gasp, we are all more than ready for spring to arrive as we are now showing 300% of our normal winter snow load...

Just about to drive to Tesco superstore in Purley, Beirut to stock up on provisions. It is a much nicer experience in the evening, but even so, everyone still annoys me 😊

Fixed. Don't forget my Werthers.

Now about to attempt to balance the Carbs on a Mark 1 Escort RS2000 (Twin Weber 40 DCOE for anyone wanting to know). Been doing it so long I can actually do it by ear, but will use my trusty Gunsons Carb Balancer and a colourtune just in case, as it's an expensive thing to get wrong if it goes up in flames and I often get it a smidgen out anyway.

After that I intend to relax with a couple of bottles of Peroni beer and some rather explicit pornography.

Almost finished with my spring maintenance of the pond. After the complete empty and clean last week, I took delivery of 100kgs of Scottish cobbles. This enabled me to replant my lillies into baskets and hopefully stop the fish from destroying them. I also fitted a new float switch as the cable on the old one had gone stiff. The water level is almost back up to normal and the fish seem alot happier.

I opened my back door yesterday morning to be greeted by this sight:

Webp.net-resizeimage.jpg

Spent a couple of hours clearing snow yesterday and will do what I can today but I am running out of room for it - now I have big piles of snow where I really did not want them. This morning the temperature is -18C but we have been promised 13C by Tuesday and that will make for a fine, but very welcome, mess after this crazy winter we've had.

Watching the boxing, first time seeing Ebony Bridges fight. I don't know if she's a good fighter but she's got a cracken pair on her, maybe knock herself out with them😀.

Sitting in hotel in Longmont Colorado.  We are visiting the GFs grandkids. First we've seen them live in over a year. Don't think I've seen the GF this happy. Great little visit.

Magic!

We're hoping to go home to Northern Ireland end of May, will be the Xmas then Easter rearranged trip, and first time my parents will have seen their granddaughter is near 18 months.

I think it should happen okay, and they both have had their jabs.

Will also be a great wee visit.

Up early and it's -27C, another weather record broken; however, it should reach almost 0 by this afternoon and if our current forecast is correct, it'll get well above freezing in the daytime by Monday and even reach double digits so this may just be the last real day of winter.

Current photo of our town posted by a friend on FB this morning and few would disagree with the sentiment!
