Think the heat wave in Pattaya has finally broke. Woke up in the wee hours to very pleasant, cool temps. Opened the windows and turned off the bedroom A/C for the first time in two months. Can look forward to more of the same in the coming days.

I'm bumming because my all time favorite mouse, the Logitech M705 just committed hardware suicide by jumping off my desk. Adding to my sadness is the mouse has been discontinued.

I've ordered the M720 Triathlon, but I have my reservations as to whether my hand will be willing to accept the replacement.

It's also kind of strange they would name a mouse "Triathlon" as I don't expect it to swim, bike or even run, just fit comfortably in my hand and respond quickly to my every demand, like last night's BF. :default_biggrin:

Just booked here for a few days in August. About the closest i've been in Pattaya in a good few trips, and i'll get a taxi to Tony Candy's for a stock up whilst in the hood!

It looks nice, relaxing, own private beach, and we'll be coming to it from a few days in Bangkok, so nice to get away from the grime. 3 restaurants, 3 pools, wife's aunts will be driving so can go to Pupen or similar if we wanted.

Wife's parents are coming down to stay, much more palatable to me than going there these days TBH. A couple of days at their place is enough for me, so it's a win/win, they get to hang out with our daughter at the beach, pools with kid's slide, kid's club etc, enough for everyone, no one bored, including our daughter. I could even fit in a day's diving from Jomtien if i wanted, though i'd just be coming from a week's worth in Krabi.

Anyone stayed here or know it?

Feeling a little bit stoopid....

Went to lidls to do a basic shop. Picked up a basket, started wandering the shop, felt in my pocket.... and realised I'd forgotten my wallet... Fortunately I hadn't put anything into the basket...

Duh!!

I did think of that, but I've not set it up, and being a bit of a computer idiot, am not sure how...

Must look into it.

Just finished packing a small suitcase, setting off to Lyme Regis in the morning for a 2 night stay HERE. The plan is to head to Weymouth on Sunday morning and spend the day there before heading back to Cardiff Sunday evening.

Just finished completing my pension documents to access an old company scheme I belonged to... I had to wait for the Thai wifey to finish her shower before asking for her signature regarding the death benefits and spouses pension part of it.

Never seen her move so fast!!!!

Glad to see I am not the only one to STILL use a mouse. My Logitech is a beast and have dropped it many times....but still works....

Logitech makes some well built products. My mouse has taken the drop multiple times and survived, but alas yesterday it effected the left mouse button.

Stupid me I tried to repair it without first looking up how to take it apart. Found three screws easy enough, which I thought was all them. I then proceeded to try and pry the two halves apart and only succeeded in cracking the plastic housing.

Then thought fck it, I'll rip the damn thing apart to figure out how they built the housing. Still couldn't figure out how they kept the too halves secured when all I had left was a handful of broken parts.

It was then I asked Google how to take it apart which led me to a YT vid that revealed the location of the hidden screws. They were under the battery sticker.

Then to add insult to injury the same vid had a very simple fix for the stuck mouse button. Cued to start at the easy fix.

Here's what it cost me to learn to RTFM first.🤑

You convinced me so I got one.

Those PTFE feet are slicker than last night's BF.

I've learned that spending for a quality mouse is well worth the added bhat. Took me a few years to get past my cheapness, but from now on Logi.

Putting the final touches to all the documents for Porn's Greek Visa (Schengen) application meeting on Wednesday.

I believe the Schengen Visa from next year, will be an E-Visa without the need to attend an appointment. That would save the hassle of going to London from Wales and the added costs. Even have to take my daughter out of school which is a real pain when she has a 100% attendance record.

I saw this just now and it did ring a bell. The days before smart phones seem so long ago.8-1.jpg

My mother always used to complain about my 2 brothers and I reading the sauce bottle labels (ketchup and HP) peanut butter and jam and any other labels at the table. Later we thought it was because she thought we should have proper dishes and bowls for such things and we were making her presentation look poor. I guess if all devices were snatched away we would be back to labels again pretty quick (hopefully not in Thai)

Trying to figure out how I am using the Wi-Fi when the Internet connection says 'no connection' and Norton antivirus keeps telling me to turn on Wi-Fi.  My Virgin set up says 'secured, no internet' yet the family are all using their devices and the router looks fine.

The symbol at the bottom is the Globe rather than the normal Wi-Fi symbol that is usually there. I hover the cursor over the Globe and it says 'no internet access, connections available'. All very weird as I am using the Wi-Fi to write this and view the forum.
