Just had my booster in Bristol.

It has been 4 weeks since I have been eligible for my booster. Was waiting diligently for my invite letter as here in Wales they operate a different system from England and there is no booking system.

Anyhow was wondering why I hadn't been invited so finally called the Swansea Health Board who told me I had been opted out because I had my first 2 jabs in England.

Annoyed at being told they could opt me back in but would be a couple weeks before I get an invite so drove to a walk in clinic in Bristol. Opened midday and jabbed by 1215 although I did queue for 15 mins.

For @AJSP info, I drove straight back so as to pick Porn up in Neath Port Talbot Hospital, she still had to wait 25 mins for me.

Happy to get the Pfizer vaccine, had Astra Zeneca for first two.

Feel great presently.

Was going to see Girlschool and Alcatrazz at the Camden Underworld this evening, but got a text a little while ago saying it's been postponed. No reason given but possibly Covid related I guess. Hopefully getting rearranged rather than cancelled altogether.

Just changed over a pair of winter tires on my Equinox, but my back is stiff as hell from the bending. Going to wait until tomorrow to move the car and do the other side. Got a smoking deal on Facebook Marketplace- anyone who uses this, make sure you have searched properly before giving up. Instead of a radius of say, 100 miles( which I was doing due to a rare bolt pattern, 5x115 vs more common 114.3), use a radius of 5-10 miles and repeat. Sometimes your favourite item is so far down the list you miss it….

I got exactly what I was looking for, like new 17” Goodyears on rims, for way less than half price of new, plus the time & cost of 2 appointments at the garage now and in March(winters mandatory 12/1-3/15 in Montreal)….had I purchased the tires alone- which are much easier to find

I have a huge pile to sort through tomorrow to separate into individual folders and that's just for me. LOL

Escaping the winter here is my prime driver too!

I'm getting by with knowing that - this will be my last winter ever here. It helps keep me positive as the temps drop a bit each day.

Just packing my bags for a quick trip to Vancouver tomorrow - this was originally going to tie in with a trip to Thailand, until EVA Air cancelled my overseas ticket in early October; but my connecting flight out of here was very cheap and I had a non-refundable night in a YVR hotel so I decided to just go for a quick break to visit some friends and do a little shopping - I haven't been away from my home for a year and a half now and I am definitely ready for a break - one of my neighbours will check on my house daily to make sure the heat is still on while I am gone.

Trying to avoid the news.

Last night watching it and what those animals did to that little 6 year old Arthur.

When i seen him not having the strength to even lift his blanket from where they made him sleep on the floor, then the audio of him crying saying no one loved him or would feed him, it just broke me.  It genuinely had tears in my eyes, i had to leave the room and go to my 5 year old in bed sleeping, just looked at breathing, gave her a gentle kiss, tried to compose myself and put it out of my head.

Those bastards got 21 and 29 years, i just hope every single day of it is spent in fear and pain like little Arthur had to endure. Getting teary even typing this, i suppose it's moreso as my daughter is around the same age.

Though no sentence will ever be enough for scum like that. Wish i hadn't seen it TBH, it'll haunt me for a while.

What was this all about, if you don't mind me asking?  I am with you, crimes against children are disgusting to say the least.

Just spent 3 hours with the wife putting up a pine bunk bed for Kataleya, also took apart the double pine bed that she was in before.  Pretty straight forward stuff but the number of dowels, screws, etc is mind boggling and now my hands and legs have given up.

I need to sit down then take a shower.

Thankfully Kataleya loves it.

Don't read the judicial notes then, they made me weep.

They made him stand, on one of the hottest days of the year for hours and hours in a heavy onesie, then sat and ate ice creams in front of him.

I've read elsewhere that the woman who got the stretch for murder has already been told she will be losing her eyesight once they get hold of her inside. As for the bloke, with any luck he'll get a "jugging" (boiling water mixed with sugar thrown over his genitals / face).

I'd happily take a claw hammer to these cunts, and still sleep pretty well afterwards.

I've just finished the laundry.

I was taking a look at my washing in the machine and in the reflection I noticed that my chins look like a shaven pussy !!

It's even worse when you can no longer see your dangleberries when taking a piss. :default_biggrin:
