Cooking oils contain unsaturated oils (fats).

The autooxidation of the double bonds present in unsaturated fatty acids
is the exothermic reaction at the origin of the self-heating process.
The degree of unsaturation of fatty acids directly influences the propensity
of an oil to undergo self-heating and, eventually, spontaneous ignition.

I lubricated the cutters with  with some oil I got with an electric razor and working great now. Have filled a whole bin bag with shreds. Half way there. I let it cool down, then gave it a good oiling.

Have shredded all my old porn mags, and had a wank half way through🙂

****Warning****

Never use a shredder whilst wearing a tie 😁😁

I have had a burn up outside in the past and it surprised me how hard it is to totally burn large packed wads of a4 paper. Obviously in an enclosed burner like yours, the heat is so high everything is gone!

These days I use a cross shredder for sensitive stuff and the rest of the paperwork goes into the recycling.

Actually, even in my big woodstove I have to crumple the papers first or they won't burn properly - you've got to get air in there for proper combustion. The same thing applies to construction waste like 2x4's - they'll burn if air space is left around the individual pieces but if they end up stacked together they won't.

That's interesting, just shows how resilient paper can be to burning.

Yea, it's handy where they have moved them to now, inside while you wait on the bags.

Wie will be so excited 😊

Been at Don Muang since 9am this morning and our flight is not until 15.10 so we booked a room for 3 hrs to have 40 winks.1100 bht I thought was not unreasonable, very clean a shower with towels and toiletries provided, good air conditioning and 2 bottles of water in the room. Our ride to Loei has just arrived so should be called soon.

You've been away too long, Gazza.

1100 for ST room, plus you're very ambitious there mate, 3 hours, you're not in your 20's any more.

Same here 555 Bloody Michael Fish ...

Spoke too soon!

A gentle April shower has just hit, with guests of 55 knots. One drowned rat has just returned home from shopping.
