Good news - turns out my urine was clear of everything they tested for. Bad news - My stomach just below my belly button is very tender and the prognosis is I may have a hernia. Got to visit my doctors surgery tomorrow to insist on getting it examined and hopefully scanned to make sure! I could of gone on my way home, but didn't want to have to sit and wait for hours to see a doctor with no food inside me. Twice I’ve been given a date to fix a hernia in the area your pain is. Twice I’ve turned up for operation and been given pre med etc, only to get wheeled into theatre, only to be told they weren’t going to operate😡 One reason was I suffer from pectoral pain caused by heart problems, second time it was the surgeon didn’t want to implant plastic mesh as it could introduce infection in the bowl cavity?? Learned later that this particular surgeon was notorious for cancelling operations on his list for spurious reasons and they later sacked him. After each cancelled operation, I was given a ticket for a free breakfast in the hospital restaurant, which I ate with relish, having starved myself from the previous evening. That is, to give my hell hole of bedroom a complete spring clean, just in case I get lucky, which is doubtful. First time i've ever had any correspondence or test to be sent, clearly not as old as all the coffin dodgers above This thread made me go look at the letter. A few years ago the test comprised of 3 sample strips that you had to apply a sample to over 3 separate days. Got to reception and told Porn just to tell the girl her name and date of birth. First thing Porn says to the receptionist is 'I am here for a smear' in ear shot of all those in the queue. Anyhow, the girl tells Porn she can not find her appointment. I said this is the right day and time, she again asks for the date of birth and name and says she can't find her on the screen. She does confirm this is the only day of the week that the nurse is in the GP. She then says what is the address which we confirm. The girl then says do you have a daughter to which I said yes. We are then told that the appointment has been put in my 8 years old daughter's name. I explained that, maybe it was a little early for Kataleya to have this test. A few behind us laughed. Luckily she then said, no problem, just sit around the corner and somebody will be with you soon. I then said I was happy that the appointment wasn't put in my name. Wifey and I had our yearly Physicals in Jan a week before heading to Singapore. Yes she had the "smear" and " mammogram" done also. Got the scare of our lives 2 days later. She gets a call telling her that there is something wrong with her test and she needs to immediately come in and talk to her Dr. We get there and the idiot receptionist somehow, someway, called the wrong person. Wifey is pretty mellow as a general rule, obviously not speaking fluent Thai, I don't know what she was saying to this girl, but it was not good. Could tell by the "tone" in her voice. Lemondropkid Posted May 13, 2023 Share Posted May 13, 2023 Feeling relief to see my electricity usage has dropped by 66% from last month!!! Really felt the cold arriving back from LOS in mid-March.
