Apart from 34 and 38 descriptions being accurate the list isn't in good taste. Is Engelbert Humperdinck considered a crooner?

fforest
Well if exercise guaranteed a long life all these footballers would be living well into their 90s..... Plenty of health gurus did not make it to a ripe old age also... So I think exercise and diet only play a part in lifespans.. lazarus
These 8 habits could add up to 24 years to your life, study says https://edition.cnn.com/2023/07/24/health/habits-live-longer-wellness/index.html Want to live up to an additional 24 years? Just add eight healthy lifestyle choices to your life at age 40 and that could happen, according to a new unpublished study analyzing data on US veterans. Starting at age 50 instead? No problem, you could prolong your life by up to 21 years, the study found. Age 60? You’ll still gain nearly 18 years if you adopt all eight healthy habits. “There’s a 20-year period in which you can make these changes, whether you do it gradually or all at once,“ said lead study author Xuan-Mai Nguyen, a health science specialist for the Million Veteran Program at the VA Boston Healthcare System. “We also did an analysis to see if we eliminated people with type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, stroke, cancer and the like, does it change the outcome? And it really didn’t,” she said. “So, if you start off with chronic diseases, making changes does still help.” What are these magical healthy habits? Nothing you haven’t heard before: Exercise, eat a healthy diet, reduce stress, sleep well and foster positive social relationships. On the flip side, don’t smoke, don’t drink too much and don’t become addicted to opioids... Edited July 25, 2023 by lazarus

It's quite possible that without being so fit in his younger years then he may not have reached 69. Then again he may have been run over by a bus....

Dad had 4 cards from the Queen and a telegram from Ian Duncan Smith, the asshole minister from the DWP. I’ve still got them somewhere in a box. 👍

KhunDon
Watching a good friend of hers Dave Fanning, on Channel 4 news at the moment, but he didn’t know what she died of either. She had a beautiful voice, but she, for some reason, maybe mental problems or the death of her son, or both, got involved in many religious things and I think she lost her way a bit. Her way that she covered Princes song, “nothing compares to you”, is a song I’ll never forget. Edited July 26, 2023 by KhunDon

Popular Post Krapow
Genuinely saddened by the death of Sinead. A tortured soul, brought up in those Hell holes run by the Catholic Church in Ireland in them days. I kinda thought this would happen when her Son took his life not so long ago. Such a distinctive voice, and very pretty when young with the shaved head. Her courage in her stance and very public actions highlighted the abuse by the Catholic Church in them days seen her ostracised, but gave others the courage to do the same. RIP Sinead. 6 1 2
