Ahhh thanks, doesn’t look like a bait boat. Never tried carp fishing, used to go barbel fishing on the Teme and Severn

Did a bit of barbel fishing on the Wye the summer before covid. Really enjoyed it. Caught some nice chub and a couple of barbel. 7 and 9 pounds.

Scrap like mad in the flow they do.

Sweating over a few bucks on this parlay…..5 wins is never guaranteed. Just need Fritz to close it out, and Joker and Swiatek to win

Owe a big thank you to @Glasseyeneeded the Cubs and Reds to score 15 in the Over, looking like a loss and Cubbies put up 7 in the top 8th. Definitely paying another visit to Chicago and long as Customs lets me through

Cheers mate.   Gambling is something I won't touch. Be careful mate.

ORD is no picnic. Once on a return I got pulled by customs to the side for a bag search. Some young lass went through my dopp bag with her rubber gloves on. She pulled out some vitamin V tabs and asked, "What's this ?" I responded with a smile.... "Viagra". She closed the bag and I was on my way to my connection.

Just another day in paradise.

I'm in  town for a couple of days to do some jobs .. I paid my monthly rent near Tukom then strolled down to "arrange" my visa renewal for tomorrow. .. Good news is that Cambodia Travel have reduced their price to 12,500 to make it more in line with the amount that @forcebwithu etc pay.... Happy days ... Happy 19 Crimes wine I bought with the savings!

Chasing shade at the lake.

Woke up shivering last night and generally feeling unwell today.

The heat was relentless yesterday and the humidity was high. Think I may of gotten heat stroke.

Feel a little better this afternoon as I drink loads of water and stay out of the sun.

Problem is my rods are in the blistering heat, so when I catch a fish I am stood in the sun for 30 minutes or so dealing with the fish.

Just booked for my daughter to go and see a Michael Jackson tribute act. Ok, Ok, don't give me grief, it's the daughter that loves his music and I have to go with her.  One day she might enquire about his personal life.

Anyhow, it is on my wife's birthday at end of November. £27.50 per adult and £18 for Kataleya. Guy's name is Navi and, supposedly, he is one of the best tribute acts out there. I don't mind the music but won't be dressing up or doing any moon walks.  It takes place at the Gwyn Hall in Neath, which is a great place to see a tribute act. Probably be a good night.

Sat in Departures, T2 LHR. Early indicatios have the EVA inbound on time.

Check in and Security was a breeze.

Yes, I'm doing the same, but am enjoying the comfort of the United lounge - the advantage of flying so often with EVA that I have a Star Alliance Gold Card.

Just enjoyed a late brunch after an early trip downtown to do some shopping - a mistake as I had completely forgotten that it is Labour Day  today and a couple of places I normally shop either weren't open or opened later than I cared to wait for; I am working again tonight but have relatively easy shifts for the next three weeks then get a five week break which I am eagerly awaiting - I will have worked for almost six months straight, my longest stretch since officially retiring over 12 years ago and something I am not going to repeat. We had our first frost the other night and it won't be long before we see another...

Thinking I'd wouldn't have the balls to put a gybe mark that close to a lee shore... but that's why I only do basic club stuff, not national championships!

Assuming they did that to try to bring the action closer to shore for the spectators benefit?

I enjoyed participating in regattas, mostly windsurfing competitions, but unless it was broadcast to TV I recognized it was probably a very boring sport to watch from shore.

Coincidentally.....  My rod is a bit blistered as well. I had a marathon wank session a couple days ago and it's still healing up.

Some of these guys/bands, do some really great impersonations. That Michael Jackson guy should be good.

Wifey still reminds me of the time in Aug 2022, I took her to the Mountain Winery to see the "Fab 4" and I took this video.........And yes, she knows who The Beatles are LOL!
