In Starbucks at Swampy.

Not depressed but sad to say goodbye to the girls. Still could see them any time from 5 weeks to 3 months depending on my travels and results of visa application.

Already told a Chinese family to get in line. We are all snaking along about 4 lines queuing for immigration and this family see a gap and head straight for an immigration officer.

Well ignorance does not come with a free pass so I told them to get at the back of the queue. Thing is their back of the queue is barging into the middle of other passengers who all told them in umpteen languages to feck off to the back. Result.

Noticed again that immigration really have sped up their processing time at the desk.

Getting on EVA in about 1 hour.

I had the opposite to you last night. 2 Chinese couples in front of me at immigration, let me go past them to get stamped in first! Possibly they hadn’t filled their forms out correctly, but I did think it was a nice gesture.

So, after the hallal food, we will now have the hallal internet....

Am I the only one to think this will soon become the islamic internet, propagating the believe ?

Don't agree on this one. If choose to download that browser then your already most likely a believer, or on the road to it or interested.

Catholics like myself with have to stick Chrome for their pork, gambling, alcohol and porn fix

Lovely part of the world. Have enjoyed many trips there and I love the Krungsri Hotel bar along the river.  In fact also directly opposite the hotel on the other side of the river is a great restaurant selling wonderful Thai food.

Only been back at work 3 weeks after the xmas break and I'm already pissed off and bored . Just booked Easyjet to CPH on Thursday and then up to Halmstad for 5 days with the Teerak.

Better to be freezing cold in Sweden than freezing cold at the dump I work at !

I couldn't be arsed today so phoned in sick.New owners are turning the company to shit. The guy that started it built it up for over 50 years into a good place to work.New owners turned it into a dump in just over 6 months. He would be turning in his grave if he saw what they are doing to his business.

Filling the place with useless temps who don't give a f**k.Had a temp start at 2pm monday and had quit by 3pm.They want us full timers out and get zero hour staff in as no holiday, sick pay, pension etc..

Seriously considering taking the voluntary redundancy they are looking for.

Sounds like your place is similar to mine Gal. The main gaffer who owned the business for 30 years and built it up from scratch has semi retired to Tenerife. I right pain in the arse as a boss but a great bloke outside of work ,very generous and went out of his way to help certain folk including myself. A type of old school boss who wasn't afraid to muck in and graft despite his age .70 now.

however, since he passed the reigns onto a guy he really thought a lot of the place has gone to shit. The new owner who has been part of the business since day one now has more interest in Horse racing and mixing with the likes of Michael Owen the ex Liverpool footballer . The new boss is hardly ever at work and would rather be in dubai or haydock as he has ownership or part ownership in 9 racehorses. That don't come cheap . No wonder every piece of machinery in our company that's worth anything has a metal plate attached to it stating that some finance /auction company has first say on the sale of that machinery .

On a side note .....does voluntary redundancy reduce any payout as opposed to compulsory redundancy ? Ive feck all clue about such things .

Well I'm done at the end of April. Had enough and even though I won't have much brass to fall back on I won't die !

I will probably miss out on any future redundancy but I don't care . Will find something else to do after ive had a couple of months break. It's not the end of the world .

Having worked 33 years for the same company I understand that.  But if things really go South better move on before it impacts you mentally or before THEY push you out.

If i got the minimum redundancy required by law it would be around 6 to 7 grand.Add that to my savings in the bank and i could take the year off if i wanted to.Though i would just take a month or two before looking for work.Hopefully it don't come to this but i am feeling that way inclined.

Plenty of work out there so no problem to get a job.

Probably change my mind in the morning and carry on.😀

Just carry on where you are and suffer it till you know your going to get redundancy or you've had enough . Like you say, plenty of work out there for people who are willing to graft.

Lifes to short to worry about work work work all the time. If you can comfortably afford to take a month or two off ,why not ?
